It's quick and easy to reserve your spot for this once-in-history event. The week starts in Wittenberg, Germany, and then we travel to Worms, Germany, together. See the detailed itinerary below.
Housing includes two options: Local 3- 4 star hotels, as well as Jugendherbergen conference center.
It's a few quick clicks to make your reservation now, and you can select options (airport shuttles, day trips) much closer to the event, even spring of 2022, once you know where and when you'll be flying, etc. For now, just decide if you want the hotel option, (single room or shared), or if you want the Conference Center option, (your own family/group room or a shared room with other participants). There is no deposit to hold the space, for now, and you can pay over time as you like with full payments due only in Spring 2022.
The main thing is let us know you are coming, and you can talk over details and options over the course of the coming months, and call or email us for more information if you like.
We understand that COVID is unpredictable. If the trip has to be canceled, any payments will be refunded. There is no deposit now, so you can save your spot risk free. Then, like everyone, start to plan and hope for a return to travel and exploration in Summer 2022.
Please note: The trip will be confirmed for certain when we have 150 registrations. So, please do not purchase non-refundable air tickets until we confirm that we have 150. But do add your registration(s) to help us get to 150! Deposits of course would be refunded in full if we do not reach 150 registrations. So, register now, and invite your friends so we can confirm! Same with any COVID concerns: be sure you have a refundable airfare if the event would have to be canceled owing to travel restrictions. Payments to Luther500 will be fully refunded, of course, if the event were canceled due to COVID. So, no risk now, but it's important to save your spot if you plan to attend if travel is clear in Summer 2022.
The Luther500 Fest begins!
Whether you are coming right from home, or you've been travelling in Europe already for a few days: This is the time to arrive in Wittenberg. Airport shuttles are offered from Frankfurt and Berlin.
Settle in, have a look around the City of The Reformation, a lovely medieval town, the location of the Thesis Door, the historic churches where Luther preached thousands of sermons and is buried, the homes of Martin and Katie Luther, Philip Melanchthon, Johannes Bugenhagen and Lucas Cranach, and the associated museums and exhibits.
Meet the whole group at 6:00pm for a Welcome Bratwurst BBQ. Introductions and music with Lost And Found and friends.
Get to know a few new friends, and head over to church for a brief Evening Prayer time -- you'll have special and private access to this sacred and historic space as a participant in this Luther500 event.
If you are still awake, join others for Gemutlichkeit in a biergarten.
