Cancellation Policy

We are sorry to see folks cancel and we understand life happens. It is extremely important for us to be fair to everyone; our guests, our crew, our family, and our community. It is with these guidelines we feel confident that we can maintain an honest and trustworthy reservation/cancellation policy.

  • All cancellations will be subject to a $100/person booking fee.

  • Deposits are refundable (minus the cancellation fee/person) if cancellation takes place prior to the balance due date (8 weeks prior to the sailing date).

  • Cancellations made within the 8 weeks prior to the sailing date, fares are refundable (minus the cancellation fee/person) if and only if we are able to fill your spaces.

Choosing Your Windjammer Cabin

Each cabin on the Mary Day has its own cozy charm. Consider these points to choose the best one for your comfort. Scroll down for cabin photos and descriptions.

  • Cabin and bed size: Some cabins are snug and intimate, while others offer a little more room to stretch out. All beds are 6'2 in length. Head to head cabins are best for taller guests.

  • Who you're traveling with: Are you sailing solo, with a partner, or with a friend? We have options to fit everyone.

  • Sharing or private: Would you prefer a private cabin, or are you open to sharing with another guest?

  • Getting in and out of bed: Some berths require a short climb up a ladder, or using a step, while others are at levels to sit down.

  • Privacy vs. Budget: Single berths in shared cabins save money; booking a full cabin guarantees privacy.

  • Storage & Packing: Smaller cabins have limited storage while double bed cabins have ample storage space- pack light if possible. Soft-sided bags work best and tuck easily into the storage areas in the cabin.

  • View & Location: Windows and skylights enhance your experience; consider cabin proximity to common areas for noise preference.

If you're not sure which cabin is the best fit, we're happy to help you choose one that matches your comfort level and style of adventure!

Moving on board Mary Day & Exploring Camden

On boarding day, you can expect a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as you arrive at the dock. Upon boarding you will receive a brief orientation about the schooner and the daily routine. Safety procedures will be discussed as a group the following morning prior to departure. A crew member will guide you on a tour of the boat individually, exploring the cabins, common areas, and heads to help you familiarize with the ship’s layout. This is also a time to meet the crew and fellow passengers, fostering a sense of community. After settling in, you typically have the chance to relax, enjoy the scenic surroundings, and possibly take a stroll into nearby Camden for a local dinner before returning onboard to spend the night, preparing for the adventures ahead.
