Overnight in Galway.
Today with your guide, drive from Galway city centre out to Cong, home of
Ashford castle and the “Quiet Man” movie, this is a picturesque little village and well worth exploring. Onwards we continue into the heart of Connemara, Ireland's biggest Gaeltacht area and as wild Ireland as you can get. Along the way we will stop at Kylemore Abbey, home of the benedictine nuns and all-organic produce well worth sampling. We’ll stop off on the way for lunch in Clifden town, the home of the Connemara pony and the heart of the west. Depending on time, we can stop at the Connemara Marble museum to check out Ireland’s green marble. We will finish back at our accommodation in Galway for the night, and leave time to sample Galways night life.
Overnight Galway.
Today we will travel down to Killarney, with a stop off the Cliffs of Moher along the way. Then, you can choose to see Bunratty Castle or Limericks King John's Castle and traveling via Adare for some breathtaking scenery. As part of your Killarney stay, we would recommend touring Killarney National Park, visiting Muckross House & Gardens, Torc Waterfall and soaking up some of the Irish evening entertainment in the town with a huge variety of restaurants and pubs offering delicious food, Celtic whiskey, and Irish dancing.
Overnight Killarney.
Today we venture to Dingle. This is a Wild Atlantic drive, where we will see some spectacular coastal scenery. There is a chance to see the Blasket Islands, drive onto beaches, and walk along the sand. Dingle itself is a happening place; with its old world charm mixed with a modern Celtic vibe, it’s becoming more popular every year. There's the option of a Dingle Distillery whisky tour, or Dingle Crystal factory tour, but just the town is fun to walk around and check out all the the various boutique bars and shops. We head back to Killarney via Conor Pass, a truly spectacular drive and a great place to check out hidden lakes.
Overnight Killarney.
You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Killarney mid-morning, and we'll continue our tour down to Kinsale via Kenmare, Glengarriff, and Bantry, enjoying some of Ireland’s most beautiful scenery, including a visit to Garnish Island. Glengarriff has many gardens open to the public due to its proximity to the Gulf Stream, where lush bamboo gardens grow alongside native ferns and fuchsia. Along this drive there are old abbeys we can explore, as well as mountains. We will end our day in Kinsale, another beautiful upmarket colorful town with dozens of great places to eat, drink, and shop.
Overnight Kinsale.
You'll be collected from your accommodation in Kinsale, and continue your
tour on route to Dublin. Our first stop of the day is the world famous Blarney Castle and Gardens. We continue north to our nextt stop, Cashel the home of the the Rock of Cashel, an ancient site well-known in Irish history. It is the coronation site of the Celtic Kings of Munster for hundreds of years, and one of the oldest ecclesiastical buildings in Ireland. From here we continue to Dublin, and if time permits we will take a quick stop in Kildare, home of the horse training centre of Ireland and St Brigid, before heading to your home for the evening, Dublin.
