After enjoying breakfast, we will embark on a biking adventure by a scenic route through the coast of Ultima Esperanza and Eberhard Fjords, to Puerto Pratt, the first Chilean town officially created in 1899 with the purpose of consolidating Chilean territory in Última Esperanza. Continue to Puerto Consuelo, an estancia founded in 1893 by Hermann Eberhard while he was searching for suitable land to farm sheep. From his settlement, Eberhard explored the area and eventually discovered the Milodon Cave.

We will then continue our journey with a loop along the scenic “Ruta Helmer”, which will take approximately 3 hours and cover a distance of 25 kilometers. The bike route offers a thrilling adventure through stunning landscapes. Today’s ride is along a private reserve not open to the public who frequent the Natural Monument Milodon Cave. We begin with a smooth, moderate ride bordering Cerro Queso (Cheese Hill) where we continue riding to a beautiful view of the Sofia Lagoon. On clear days we can see Paine Grande and other surrounding peaks set off among the far reaching fjords. Then, we will bike to Cueva de la Ventana (Window Cave), ee continue through eaves and cave paintings left by the ancestors of Ultima Esperanza until arriving at Dos Herraduras (two horseshoes).

Then we will continue across the road until we reach Ville Cerro Castillo, for this route, you can take the van or pedal for thirty-five kilometers on Castillo Viejo Road alongside beautiful Patagonian landscapes before arriving at Villa Cerro Castillo to
rest and reward yourself with another amazing meal prepared by your private chef.

Start the first part of your day gazing at Paine Massif postcard landscapes enroute to San Luis Estancia, located on Chilean-Argentinian land onced owned by the Sociedad Explotadora de Tierra del Fuego, former cattle raising company. Currently, it extends about 13,000 hectares, on which livestock farming was its main activity for more than forty-five years. With hard work and perseverance, the family business managed to diversify activities to include tourism, so that, today, we can enjoy panoramic landscapes of Paine and Sierra Baguales, your next destination.

The bike route from Estancia San Luis to Hosteria Tercera Barranca spans approximately 35 kilometers, the ride typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on individual cycling speed and trail conditions. Starting at Estancia San Luis, you’ll pedal along scenic trails, traversing rolling hills and enchanting valleys. As you make your way towards Hosteria Tercera Barranca, the terrain may vary, featuring gravel paths and occasional inclines and descents. Take your time to enjoy the surroundings, stopping to capture memorable photos or simply appreciate the tranquility of the Patagonian wilderness.

At the end of the adventure we are going to arrive in Estancia Tercera Barraca, this estancia is a charming countryside retreat nestled in the heart of nature. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and immerse themselves in the rustic charm of the property.

Starting from Tercera Barranca, we will embark on a journey that will take us through diverse landscapes, including wooded areas, streams and panoramic mountain vistas. Our destination is the stunning Salto Las Chinas waterfall. Upon reaching this cascade, we will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the water tumbling amidst pristine wilderness.

It’s a perfect spot to pause, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved break while capturing photographs. Although the return journey follows the same path, the landscape changes due to the new perspective.

You will not leave Torres del Paine National Park before doing one last exquisite ride from Laguna Azul to Laguna Amarga, passing Macho Canyon, spotting large groups of guanacos, and stopping at the iconic Paine Waterfall.

After breakfast, we take a 30-min transfer to Laguna Azul. We will start riding towards Cañadón Macho (horse-shoe shape ride), located on the border of Torres del Paine National Park. This is an area abundant in wildlife where we will be able to watch out for guanacos, foxes, coots, swans, ducks and woodpeckers. Moreover, the lagoon offers a great view of the three Towers.

After this great biking experience, we’ll go back to Puerto Natales to finalize your adventure right where you started, Estancia Puerto Bories.
