After breakfast we leave the dells of the tropical jungle and progress forward with a rising way, crossing the valley along a precarious rough edge. The course presently turns west onto a waterway gorge until we show up at the Shira camping area.

From the Shira Plateau we proceed toward the east up an edge, passing the intersection towards the pinnacle of Kibo. As we proceed, our heading changes toward the South East towards the Lava Tower, called the "Shark's Tooth" (elev 4650m/15,250ft). Not long after the pinnacle we come to the second intersection which goes to the Arrow Glacier. We currently go on down to the Barranco Camp. In spite of the fact that you end the day around a similar height as when you started, this day is vital for acclimatization and will assist your body with planning for highest point day.

After breakfast, we leave Barranco and continue on a steep ridge up the Barranco Wall (elev 4250m/13,900ft), through the Karanga Valley (elev 4050m/13,250ft) to the junction which connects with the Mweka Trail. Promptly in the first part of the day (12 PM to 2 am), we proceed with our way to the highest point between the Rebmann and Ratzel icy masses. You head in a northwesterly course and climb through weighty scree towards Stella Point on the pit edge. This is the most intellectually and truly testing part of the trip. At Stella Point you will stop for a brief reprieve and will be compensated with the most great dawn you are ever prone to see. Quicker climbers might see the dawn from the highest point.

From Stella Point, you might experience snow as far as possible on your 1-hour climb to the culmination. Once at Uhuru Peak you have arrived at the most elevated point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the mainland of Africa!
