Day 1

Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

 

  • Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport or pick up from your hotel in Kampala, you will be warmly greeted by your guide.
  • Begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, approximately 6-7 hours’ drive, passing through scenic countryside landscapes and the equator.
  • Upon arrival, check in to your mid-range lodge and unwind after your journey.
  • If time allows, you can go for a short evening game drive.
  • Accommodation: Twin Lakes Safari Lodge or similar (Mid-range)
  • Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2

Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

 

  • Early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, known for its diverse wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and antelopes.
  • Return to the lodge for breakfast.
  • In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, renowned for its high concentration of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and various bird species.
  • Evening relaxation at your lodge.

Day 3

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

 

  • After breakfast, embark on a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the critically endangered mountain gorillas.
  • Along the way, you may encounter communities of the indigenous Batwa people.
  • Arrive at the lodge and prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure the next day.
  • Accommodation: Buhoma Haven Lodge or similar (Mid-range)
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

 

  • After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by park rangers.
  • Begin your gorilla trekking experience, which can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family you are tracking.
  • Spend an unforgettable hour in the company of the gentle giants.
  • Return to your lodge to relax and reflect on this incredible experience.

Day 5

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

 

  • After breakfast, head to Lake Mburo National Park, a 5-hour drive through the beautiful Ugandan countryside.
  • Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive to spot zebras, impalas, elands, and other wildlife.
  • Accommodation: Rwakobo Rock Lodge or similar (Mid-range)
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6

Walking Safari and Departure

 

  • Start the day with an exciting walking safari guided by an experienced ranger. This unique opportunity allows you to observe wildlife on foot.
  • Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast and prepare for your transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe.
  • Depending on your flight schedule, you will either be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your departure.
