Today, we'll head to a fun and fascinating fishing village - known as the jewel of the Adriatic.  After lunch, the afternoon will be free for you to take a bike ride, relax and go for a swim, explore, shop, go on a sunset cruise and look for dolphins, or hang out at one of the many unique bars in the old town area.  (Bicycle rental and/or boat rides are option and at your own expense).

Today, you'll take a guided walking tour of the old town area with a local expert and then have the option to take a bike ride along the Adriatic coast, relax and go for a swim, go shopping, maybe take a sunset cruise and look for dolphins and/or hang out at one of the many unique bars and restaurants. (Bicycle rental and/or boat rides are option and at your own expense).

Today, we'll explore the 3,000-year-old port town of Pula and its Roman arena and temple.  From there we'll enjoy a picnic lunch on the Adriatic followed by a spectacular drive along the Adriatic coastline to the Opatija Riviera where you'll have two self guided walking options along the famous Lungomare coastal walk.

Opatija is a charming historic coastal resort town made famous by the Habsburg Dynasty.

In the morning you can enjoy one of two self guided walks along the beautiful Lungomare coastal walkway.  (Or you can sleep in and have a long breakfast).

After a late check out we'll take the back roads through rural Croatia to Plitvice National Park where we will take a 90 minute walk to the lower falls area.  Plitvice National Park is world-famous for its beautiful turquoise lakes and waterfalls.

We'll spend the evening at a very comfortable lodge in the park with fabulous food.

Today, we'll hike into the spectacular Julian Alps and view the impressive north face of Mt. Triglav, Slovenia's highest peak.

After a traditional Slovenian lunch at the mountain lodge we'll visit an award winning mountain museum and head to beautiful Lake Bled for the evening.

At Lake Bled you'll have time to visit the castle, walk around the lake and take a boat over to visit the chapel on the island and ring the bell there three times for good luck..

Today, we'll hike in Triglav National Park and then head to serene Lake Bohinj. Here, we have many options, including taking a canoe ride, going for a hike or a bike ride, swimming in the lake or the hotel pool, or relaxing and enjoying the fabulous views of the lake and the mountains.

Today, we'll enjoy another hike in a gorge, lunch, and visit a historic WW1 town and museum.

We'll then head to the Brda wine area and stay at an organic, family-run winery where you will learn about their winery and taste as many of the wines as you like.

You can take a walk, relax by the pool, help in the kitchen, or simply enjoy the ambiance of the winery while watching the sunset and listening to the church bells in the distance.

After breakfast at the winery, it's only an hour's drive to Trieste, where you'll be dropped off at around 8:45 AM at the NH Hotel in Trieste - 200 meters from the train station, and we will have our sad goodbyes.

Alternatively if people are headed to Venice we suggest booking a van transfer directly to Venice Airport or Mestre (mainland) Train Stations - versus backtracking from Trieste - which we can help arrange.
