Your local tour leader will arrange the transfer from hotel to UIO airport where he/she will assist with pre-flight checkin. Fly 2 hours (some flights stop in GYE to pickup extra passengers) Arrive in Baltra airport where you pay your $200 GPS NP entry fee (CASH!) Begin van Tour of Highland tortoise reserve and lunch on a farm on the way to the village of Puerta Ayora (wear sturdy sandals/shoes and clothing appropriate for sightseeing. Have sunglasses, hats and sunscreen handy) Continue to the village where you check in to your hotel.

After breakfast we transfer to the dock to begin the 2.5 hour transfer to Isabela Island If anyone is prone to seasickness this is the time to use your remedies (and avoid eating breakfast.) Fast Boats navigate between islands where you may have occasional sightings of giant rays, dolphins or other large open water mammals. Arrive at the dock then transfer to the hotel and have lunch in the village. Your tour leader will arrange masks and fins. Then it's off to the dock to board your small craft for a short ride to Tintoreras Islet, where jagged volcanic rocks form small underwater canyons thriving with wildlife. Walk around the islet smothered in marine iguanas, as you search for feisty penguins and blue-footed boobies!  Return to your boat for a short ride to the perfect spot to submerge in serene crystal waters in search of more species of fish, turtles, and sea lions. Return to your hotel and explore the town in the evening on your own

After breakfast, navigate 1.5 hours to The Tunnels, one of the most beautiful lava rock formations in Galapagos. These underwater caves appeared after volcanic eruptions, creating arches over the water where vegetation can be seen stemming out of the rocks, through crystal-clear water. After exploring on foot, it’s off by boat to snorkel with sea turtles, white-tip sharks, golden rays, eagle rays, seahorses, and tropical fish. The tour includes a light box lunch on board.. We return to the village around 3 pm. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure

Hotel: Puerto Villamil

After breakfast, begin a guided hike through the wet lands, Wall of Tears, and coast line ecosystems. 

Wall of Tears is one of the most important historical sites in the Galapagos Islands, often overlooked due to amazing wildlife observation activities. Built by a penal colony of prisoners banished to the islands, the wall had no real purpose other than to punish prisoners. After lunch (take your seasick meds if needed and/or avoid eating) then depart by boat at 2pm arriving in PA at 5pm. Transfer to hotel for checkin.

Guided visit to the Darwin Research station  Guide will suggest excellent choices for lunch. In the afternoon a guided walk (about 1 mile) to Tortuga Bay, a perfect spot for swimming and snorkeling. Enjoy a farewell dinner with a local fisherman's family.

Hotel: Puerto  Ayora 3*

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, dine with fisherman's family

After breakfast, 8-9 am, your tour guide will pickup from hotel to begin drive to the Isthmus, where you cross by ferry 5 minutes. Then take the bus about 5-10 minutes to the airport where you checkin for your flight to Quito, Ecuador departing 12N-1PM. Conclusion of service.

If you want to fly home later the same day, book international flights departing after 8pm.  Or if you want to depart the next morning, you can self book the Wyndham hotel at the airport and take the shuttle about 5-10 minutes.
