This 7-Day Rwanda & Uganda Gorilla & Wildlife Adventure is designed to showcase East Africa's incredible Primates and Wildlife across Rwanda & Uganda. You'll discover diverse landscapes, starting in Kigali, Rwanda and journeying into Uganda, visiting destinations such as Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda), Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Uganda), and Queen Elizabeth National Park (Uganda).

This is a Full-Board Adventure, which means you don't need to worry about your main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), your lodge accommodation, transportation or National Park permits - we'll handle it all.

Accommodation is based on a Full-Board basis (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or as described within the itinerary

Provision for Emergency Evacuation to Entebbe, by air is included within all of our Adventures
As part of our commitment to sustainable practices, we will plant a tree for every Adventurer that visits Uganda with us
All Adventurers must make their own arrangement for international flights arriving into Uganda or Rwanda
All Adventurers must make their own arrangements for any domestic flights, unless indicated in the itinerary
Any visas and related fees must paid for by individual Adventurers
All Adventurers must make arrangements for their own personal Travel Insurance
Adventurers will be responsible for the cost of their own medical bills, including any relevant medication
The cost for any soft drinks or alcoholic beverages will not be included. You will have access to drinking water throughout
Laundry services are not included within the package. Most lodges offer a laundry service which will need to be paid for separately.
Any supplementary room services will be charged separately to the relevant Adventurer
Adventurers will be responsible for any fines or damages as a result of any misconduct by them
Where there are 'Optional' activities and you wish to participate, you will be billed separately. This will be discussed directly with you before you make any commitment
Guide Tips are not included within the package. They are not obligatory but are warmly encouraged
Any changes to the Adventure itinerary will be agreed in advance and paid for separately
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL), you'll be met by your professional Guide, who will assist you with checking in to your accommodation at Hotel des Mille Collines. This hotel was made famous as a place of refuge during the genocide in Rwanda, commemorated in the movie Hotel Rwanda.
Depending on your arrival timing you'll have the opportunity to get acquainted with Kigali through a City Tour. Be sure to spend some time at the Kimironko Market and of course the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial.

If not done on the first day, you'll get the opportunity to further explore Kigali City in the morning.
In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Musanze, the gateway town to Volcanoes National Park. You'll tour the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn lots about Gorilla Conservation efforts in the region.
Depending on time and your interest, there will be an opportunity to explore the Musanze Caves too.
You'll spend the evening relaxing at the Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge.

This morning you'll track the playful and endangered Golden Monkeys within Rwanda's beautiful Volcanoes National Park.
After the tracking experience, you'll take a scenic drive across the border into Uganda. Next stop, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Upon arrival, you'll check into the serene Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. Take the rest of the day to relax and settle in, anticipating tomorrow's Gorilla Trekking Adventure.

After your early breakfast, you'll be welcomed at the briefing area for an introduction about what to expect during your upcoming trek. After meeting your expert local trackers and your National Park Ranger you'll soon be on your way to encounter the Gorillas.
Your trek (1-3 hrs) culminates in an awe-inspiring hour spent observing these magnificent creatures in their natural environment – a truly memorable experience.
Afterwards, you'll have a unique opportunity to connect with the Batwa People (Pygmies), learning about their rich history and deep ties to the rainforest. You'll also have the chance to purchase handcrafted souvenirs.
Spend the evening enjoying the calm ambiance of Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge and share your stories from the day over dinner.

After a leisurely breakfast, you'll continue your Adventure with a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, soaking in the diverse sights and landscapes as you go.
In the afternoon, you'll Track Chimpanzees in the Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve. Prepare to be captivated by the playful antics and remarkable social dynamics of these fascinating primates – a truly unforgettable wildlife encounter.
Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at Elephant Hab Lodge, a stunning retreat known for its exceptional hospitality and immersive setting.

After breakfast, you'll begin the day with an exciting morning Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. With your Guide, keep you eyes peeled for iconic wildlife like elephants, lions, and buffalo across the National Park as the animals awaken.
You'll have lunch at the lodge, and then experience a Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This waterway teems with life – glide past huge pods of hippos, basking crocodiles, elephants on the shoreline, and countless water birds.
Conclude your day at Elephant Hab Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you'll start making your way back to Entebbe for your departing flight (Timings TBC) or to enjoy a longer stay in Kampala, Uganda's capital city. If time permits, enjoy a mini-tour of Kampala.
This drive offers a last chance to soak in the diverse Ugandan landscapes, reflecting on the incredible Wildlife and Primate Adventure of the past few days - lunch will be served en route.
Your Guide will ensure you reach the airport in good time for your departing flight, filled with unforgettable memories of your Rwandan & Ugandan Adventure and ready to plan your next!
