Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee trekking

After breakfast, we depart for Kibale Forest National Park. Unlike traditional game drives on savannah plains, a safari in Kibale Forest is a walking journey—a close encounter with nature in its purest form. As you venture along forest trails with expert guides and trackers, every rustle in the leaves could signal an encounter with one of the forest’s 13 primate species, the most famous being the chimpanzees. We arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch and we take some rest. Thereafter, we either head out for a Bigodi Wetland Walk or visit the famous Kibale crater lakes.

Day-7

Departure – Until Next Time

We will enjoy our breakfast as early as possible, then after we drive to the park briefing centre, where you will receive guidelines on chimpanzee trekking. Afterward, each group is assigned to a ranger guide who will lead you into the forest. Chimpanzee trekking is the highlight of a Kibale Forest safari. Following a group of habituated chimpanzees through the forest is a thrilling, emotional experience. You’ll watch them swing between branches, groom each other, or playfully chase through the undergrowth—all just a few meters away.

Return to the lodge for your early lunch and depart for Nyakisharara airfield for your departure flight to Entebbe. Upon reaching Entebbe Airport, depart with hearts full of love and memories etched in the wild beauty of Uganda.
