About this trip
This aurora expedition brings you to the shores of Hudson Bay, where you’ll spend afternoons exploring the tundra — photographing wildlife and landscapes, enjoying hikes (weather permitting), museum visits, and dogsledding — and nights chasing the shimmering northern lights.
You’ll stay in comfortable local accommodations, with all transport provided, and take part in a dedicated photography and editing workshop designed to help you capture the magic of the night sky.
This special departure coincides with a full lunar eclipse, offering a rare and unforgettable opportunity to photograph both the aurora borealis and the moon’s dramatic transformation over the Sub-Arctic landscape.
Round-trip flights from Winnipeg and four nights of aurora viewing at different locations are included, with all activities subject to weather and safety conditions.
We do not use set locations for our aurora viewing. Instead we prefer to chase the ever changing skies in our 4x4 vans allowing for a variety of of foregrounds and photo opportunities.
