We did the 7 day/6 night tour. We saw about 240 species of birds...including lots of life birds. Our guide Natalia was fantastic...knowledge and really knew where to find specific birds. The Paz family were very helpful and friendly. They worked very hard to enable sightings of Antpittas. The food was very fresh and delicious.

A trip to Ecuador was my dream. A friend recommended Refugio Paz de las Aves to me. On June 24, they picked me up from the airport. The magic began: sensational care, perfekt guides, great food. to say that it was great is like saying nothing. It was giga, thousands of photos of birds. I will definitely return. I highly recommend to all interested in bird photography Thank you Piotr

Very enjoyable. Well looked after by Andy and Stephan. They both went out of their way to make sure I saw the birds. Lots of fun moments. I highly recommend their tours. Cheers Anita.

This was an amazing tour! The guides were able to call the birds and get them to come close, sometimes feeding them worms, so you could capture some close up photos and stunning views.

I had a wonderful stay at Refugio Paz de Las Aves. The farming families that own and run the refuge are helpful and knowledgeable about birds and we saw a wide variety of very colorful and unusual birds during my days there. It was the perfect place to view the fabulous Cock of the Rock as well as many other birds, including antpittas, many colorful tanagers, hummingbirds and toucanettes, a woodcreeper and a pair of gorgeous Quetzals. The cloud forest was lush and beautiful and I learned about farming and local plants in the area as well as the challenges of conservation for small farmers and landowners.
