After breakfast, we depart by road to Samburu National Park. Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy zebras and Beisa Oryxes. Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park stopping briefly at the Thompson’s Falls. Continue to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch and then later enjoy an afternoon game drive.

The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. After breakfast at your lodge, depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at Masai Mara Sopa lodge. Afternoon game drive in this famous reserve reveals wonders. Today we enjoy an early morning game drive then return to our lodge for a full breakfast. Alternatively we can spend the day in the park in search of predators and their prey like the Zebra, Wildebeest, and Giraffe. We have lunch at one of the nearby Lodge or camp.
