At 7am, after breakfast, you will depart Kampala to drive for 5 hours to Fort-portal. Arrive in time for lunch and then in the afternoon, you will go visit the local community in Fortportal.  Go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland. Overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel 

Early in the morning right after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the trek. Through the forest you will start the trek searching for chimpanzees. Once you meet the chimps, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour following them and taking pictures and then return to the starting point. Later you will drive to transfer to Queen Elizabeth park. The drive to Queen Elizabeth park will take you 3 hours. Overnight at Marafiki safari lodge. 

Before sunrise, you will go for a game drive  in the park searching for wildlife. Watch out for lions, elephants, buffaloes and so much more.  Later in the afternoon, go for the most scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Watch out for water loving animals, like hippos, crocodiles and plenty of birds at the shores. Overnight at marafiki lodge. 

Before sunrise, you will transfer to Bwindi national park. The drive will take you through the ishasha sector to search for tree climbing lions and then later drive to proceed to Bwindi. The drive will take you 6 hours arriving in the afternoon. Overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla lodge 

Today, is the D day we walk through the wilderness in search for gorillas. The trek starts at 8am and therefore you should be at the briefing point by 7am. Afternoon briefing and allocation of the gorilla family to trek, you will walk through the forest in searching for gorillas.  Spending 1 hour following the gorillas and taking photos. Later you will transfer back to the starting point.  Trekking time ranges between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.  Porters are available to help you carry your luggage and it is also another way to give back to the community.  Visit the Batwa community Overnight at Ichumbi Lodge 

This morning, begin your journey back to Kampala. On the way you will visit the equator.  Departure flights should depart anytime after 8pm.
