7 days Kilimanjaro hiking up via Lemosho route Ride down via Marangu route probably has a slight edge on the scenery in large part because the route up and down is different, The Bike trek is one of our product of trekking the Kilimanjaro Mountain, with climb up – ride down option you will hike via Lemosho up to the peak, then ride down from the peak to Horombo then ride down via Kilema route. Summit bound visitors will hike with the team up to the summit, on the last day visitors will ride down from Horombo via Kilema route (19km) and cyclists then meet their Hiking team at Marangu gate. But the challenge comes when client select this option will be required to pay the double fees which might be expensive compared to the normal bike trek tour days where you Hike/Ride up and ride down via Marangu Route The lesser-known Lemosho route begins on the western side of Mt Kilimanjaro. The first 2 days of the tour cross the thick rainforest belt which then changes into heath and moorland with many ferns and ericas along the way. The small trail sometimes has very steep passages and goes through diverse landscapes. On the third day, the trail joins the Machame route. Compared to the Marangu and the Rongai route, the Lemosho route is somehow challenging. Then the route travers’s underneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path known as the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu. Descent is made via the Marangu route by bike.
After breakfast you will be picked up at the lodge and taken to the Londorossi Gate at the height of 2,250 m. After the necessary registration has been completed, a bumpy drive will take you into the dense rainforest, from where your adventure commences. The moderately steep track makes its way through an unspoilt natural forest to the Big Tree Camp (2,780 m). You will be accompanied by an armed ranger for the first 2 days of your trek as wild game can be found in the area. You will spend the night in tents at Big Tree Camp.
