The present long journey begins a little path that goes through the rainforest. As one trips, the timberland slowly disperses and the scene changes into heath and moorland where plants like erica and lobelia begin to rule the scene. You will cross the Shira Ridge and following 4 to 5 hours of traveling, you will arrive at Shira Camp 1. Here you will stop for lunch, loosen up a little and partake in the phenomenal perspectives on Mt Meru and the Rift Valley. For the last piece of the ascension (around 3 hours), you will climb one more 250 m in elevation. The scene will change in the future and you will pass goliath senecios that can develop to right around 9 m in level. At Shira Camp 2, you will camp for the evening and with just enough karma, partake in the brilliant perspective on the Kibo culmination at dusk.
