The 7 Days Lemosho Route Trek is one of the most scenic and rewarding ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, offering breathtaking landscapes, excellent acclimatization, and a high summit success rate. Beginning on the remote western side of the mountain, the Lemosho Route is renowned for its spectacular scenery, diverse ecosystems, and quieter trails, making it one of the best routes to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa.
This package includes two nights of hotel accommodation, with one night before your climb to relax after your arrival and attend a comprehensive pre-climb briefing, and one night after your descent to celebrate your achievement, enjoy a hot shower, and receive your summit certificate before your departure.
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Moshi or Arusha to Londorossi Gate for registration before continuing by vehicle to Morum Barrier, where the trek begins at a higher elevation. Starting from Morum allows you to experience the spectacular Shira Plateau almost immediately, with sweeping views across the mountain, volcanic landscapes, and the surrounding wilderness.
From the Shira Plateau, the trail continues through alpine moorlands to the impressive Lava Tower, before descending to Barranco Camp for acclimatization. You will then conquer the famous Barranco Wall, continue through the beautiful Karanga Valley, and ascend to Barafu Camp, your base for the final summit attempt.
The 7-day itinerary follows the highly effective "climb high, sleep low" acclimatization principle, helping your body gradually adapt to the altitude while maximizing your chances of a successful summit. Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views of Kibo Peak, unique alpine vegetation, giant groundsels, volcanic rock formations, and unforgettable sunrises and sunsets above the clouds.
Our experienced and licensed mountain guides, professional mountain chefs, and dedicated porter team will accompany you throughout the expedition, ensuring your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Daily health checks, emergency oxygen, pulse oximeters, first aid equipment, and comprehensive mountain safety procedures are included throughout your climb.
Your summit attempt begins shortly after midnight from Barafu Camp, allowing you to reach Uhuru Peak at sunrise. Standing on the Roof of Africa and watching the first rays of sunlight illuminate Kilimanjaro's glaciers is an unforgettable achievement and one of the world's greatest trekking experiences.
Whether you're traveling solo, with friends, or joining one of our scheduled group departures, the 7 Days Lemosho Route Trek offers the perfect combination of adventure, breathtaking scenery, professional service, and an excellent chance of reaching the summit.

The Lemosho Route 8 Days Trek is widely regarded as one of the best Kilimanjaro climbing routes due to its perfect balance of scenery, acclimatization, and success rate. This itinerary allows us to take a slower, more strategic approach to altitude, significantly increasing the chances of reaching the summit successfully.
We begin on the remote western side of Mount Kilimanjaro, entering through Londorossi Gate before trekking through lush rainforest filled with wildlife. As we ascend, the environment gradually transforms into open moorlands and eventually into the dramatic alpine desert of the Shira Plateau.
A key highlight of this route is the acclimatization day via Lava Tower, where we ascend to a higher altitude before descending to Barranco Camp. This “climb high, sleep low” strategy plays a crucial role in preparing the body for the summit push.
The journey continues to the iconic Barranco Wall, followed by steady progress toward Barafu Camp. From here, we begin our midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), reaching the summit at sunrise with breathtaking views across glaciers and the plains below.
With 8 days on the mountain, this itinerary offers one of the highest success rates on Kilimanjaro, making it the preferred choice for climbers who want both comfort and achievement.
