NEW 2024 Pick up: Pick up from Bordeaux Airport or Train station St Jean is between 11 am and 4 pm on Friday April 19th, 2024.

NEW 2024 Drop off: The last hotel night is now at the Bordeaux Merignac airport. Shuttle available to go to the airport in the morning. Train station drop off also possible before 12 pm on the last day of the tour, Saturday April 27th, 2024.

For foodies, it is known as the duck, truffle, and foie gras capital of France. (Vegetarian, vegans and less adventurous souls do not worry we have meals that suits everyone's needs) For history lovers it has a cave filled with 15,000 year old prehistoric paintings and some of the best medieval towns and castles to explore. Some highlights are a truffle farm visit, an art and light show in an old German U-boat base, castle visits, wine tastings, market shopping, and exploring the prehistoric cave replica, all with your new friends and local French guides.

What a fantastic trip. The tour was well run, you can tell their passion about sharing the stories and life of their country with you. A truly wonderful time in the South of France! The people really made this trip - Isabelle and Stephane (our guide/drivers) were fantastic - such fun loving people generously sharing about French culture and history. Loved the French picnic and singalong. The specialist guides in each site were also excellent. The lunches and dinners provided were all of the highest quality (much more food than we needed). The hotel rooms and breakfast and location were not at the high standard of the rest of the package. Our fellow passengers really formed a lovely group. How lucky are we to have experienced this trip!

Our highest recommendation. This trip is a perfect way to explore Southern France ! Isabell and Stephan were great hosts and each day was full, fun, and stress free. The daily guides were pleasant and knowledgeable, adding greatly to the experience. The experience was exactly as represented in the itinerary, and there were no surprise out of pocket costs. The food was excellent. There is a substantial amount of walking each day, so comfortable shoes are a must. This was a carefully planned trip with the happiness and comfort of the participants high on the priority.
