My mom and I did 9 days in Greece for her 70th bday. We flew into Athens and did a food tour the first day. Both days we were in Athens it rained, but we still had a fabulous time. We toured the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum the second day. Our hotel was in a great area to walk and enjoy other restaurants and shops. We had some drinks at a local restaurant with a roof top bar around us and had wonderful views at night when the rain let up. We then spent two days in Mykonos, Naxos, and Santorini. I loved each of the islands. Mykonos had such a neat hotel with a great view of the island, Naxos had wonderful beaches, and Santorini had so much to do with great food, wine, and views. Julia made our trip fantastic. Communication was easy before and during the trip. Our pickups and excursions were easy due to the detailed itinerary and communication with Julia. She even made us a dinner reservation in Mykonos so we could watch the sunset. She met all expectations of our trip and I highly recommend having her plan your trip. You won't be disappointed!

We had a great time! The tour guides in Athens were our favorite! Everyone was great in Santorini as well. The wine tour was more of a town tour then a wine tasting as we only went to one winery and the food / sunset at the restaurant was semi disappointing but otherwise it was good. I would recommend if you are booking a wine tour to do the one where they visit multiple wineries. Also, we heard the best winery was the large estate on the way down to the port by the boats by multiple locals. Thankfully we explored Oia on our own as it was our best stop. The fish tavern on the water is a must. Julia was a great help and most of the trip was seamless, with pick up and drop offs for almost every place (highly recommend doing this). We overall recommend this company and had a great experience!!

Best trip ever. All the hotels, site visits, guides, restaurant tips were spot on. A lot of interesting side trips were in the booklet. All the history of the sites and towns we visited was also in the booklet. We are thinking of going next year to more destinations using Somewhere We Know.

Julia at Somewhere We Know was our agent, and NOBODY could have done a better job. Every detail was considered and arranged, and there were only a few minor mishaps, which is amazing considering the complexity of our 21 day itinerary throughout Greece, including Athens and the Peloponnese - and a few other sites (Delphi, etc). The hotels were all first class and well located, the restaurant suggestions were ALL great, and the guides she arranged at several sites were also ALL superb - not only knowledgeable, but also very personable and friendly. We were living out of our suitcases for 3 weeks, which is always not optimal but hardly avoidable for a trip like this. The cities Julia suggested, in addition to the ones we requested, were amazing and each one a "don't miss" location. Greece is an incredible country, both beautiful and historic, and we felt like we had made the very best of our time there, learned so much, and all because of Julia's suggestions and invaluable assistance. We would recommend visiting this spectacular country to anyone who can make the trip, and also highly suggest Julia and Somewhere We Know to plan your venture. Bill and Susan B. September, 2021
