Choose this journey if you want one of our most comprehensive introductions to Kenya, with a higher level of accommodation and private travel throughout.

Rather than travelling the entire circuit by road, we fly the two longest sectors at the beginning of the journey. From the Maasai Mara, a private vehicle and dedicated guide take over for the Rift Valley portion, where travelling overland allows the landscape itself to become part of the experience.

This combination of flying and private road travel allows us to include four regions in eight days without treating every transfer the same way.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed by your TourWithPipi representative and transferred to Villa Rosa Kempinski. Settle in after your international journey and take some time to relax before your safari begins.

The remainder of the day is at leisure, giving you an opportunity to unwind and ease into your first evening in Kenya. Rest in the comfort of the hotel and prepare for your journey south toward Amboseli National Park the following morning.

After breakfast, transfer for your scheduled flight from Nairobi to Amboseli, leaving the capital behind as you begin your safari in one of Kenya's most distinctive wildlife landscapes. On arrival, continue into the Amboseli region, where open plains, wetlands, and views toward Mount Kilimanjaro create a striking setting for your first days in the wilderness.

This afternoon, head out on your first game drive in Amboseli National Park, exploring the park's varied landscapes and looking for the wildlife that inhabits them. Amboseli is particularly known for its elephants, while lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and birdlife may also be encountered as you explore.

Pause for lunch before continuing into the afternoon, then arrive at Elewana Tortilis Camp for dinner and a relaxed evening in the bush.

After breakfast, set out for a full day of game drives in Amboseli National Park, allowing the day to unfold at the natural pace of the landscape. Explore the park's open plains and wetlands, with opportunities to encounter elephants and other wildlife as your guide follows areas of activity across the reserve.

Pause for a picnic or lodge lunch before continuing your exploration into the afternoon. As the light changes across the plains, Mount Kilimanjaro may provide a dramatic backdrop when conditions allow, while the park's wildlife continues to shape the rhythm of the day.

Return to Elewana Tortilis Camp for dinner and your final evening in Amboseli.

After breakfast, leave Amboseli behind and continue your journey toward the Maasai Mara by scheduled flight. The transition takes you from the open plains beneath Mount Kilimanjaro to the expansive savannahs of southwestern Kenya, where the character of the landscape changes once again.

Upon arrival in the Mara, begin your first game drive, exploring the sweeping grasslands and acacia-dotted plains that make the region one of Kenya's most celebrated safari destinations. There may be opportunities to encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife as you explore.

As the afternoon light softens across the plains, continue to Olare Mara Kempinski for dinner and a relaxed evening in the Mara.

After breakfast, set out for a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara, allowing the day's exploration to follow the natural rhythm of the reserve. Travel across open grasslands and riverine areas in search of the Mara's diverse wildlife, with possibilities ranging from large herbivore herds to the predators that follow them.

Pause for a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing into the afternoon. The changing light and movement across the plains can give familiar landscapes a different character as the day progresses, creating new opportunities for wildlife viewing. Return to Olare Mara Kempinski for dinner and a peaceful final evening in the Mara.

After breakfast, leave the Maasai Mara behind and continue toward Lake Nakuru National Park, travelling north into the Great Rift Valley as the landscape changes from open savannah to wooded hills and lakeside surroundings.

This afternoon, explore Lake Nakuru National Park on a game drive through its woodland and lakeshore habitats. The park is known for its rhino population and abundant birdlife, with opportunities to encounter rhinos, buffalo, lions, and other wildlife as you explore. Depending on the season and conditions, birdlife around the lake may also form part of the experience. After your game drive, arrive at The Cliff Nakuru for dinner and a relaxed evening overlooking the Rift Valley.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and continue toward Lake Naivasha, where the landscape shifts once more into the tranquil freshwater setting of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, settle into Enashipai Resort & Spa and enjoy lunch before taking in the slower pace of the lake region.

The afternoon offers time to explore the lakeside surroundings, with optional boat rides and nature walks available if you choose to add them. The area is known for its freshwater environment and birdlife, with opportunities to observe species around the lake and its surrounding landscapes. As the day winds down, return to Enashipai Resort & Spa for dinner and a relaxed evening.
