Prague

Arrive in Prague and check into your hotel. The Czech capital, often called the “City of a Hundred Spires,” welcomes visitors with its Gothic architecture, charming Old Town and vibrant café culture. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or exploring the city at your own pace. (D)

Day 2

Prague

Discover the beauty and history of Prague on your included city tour. Stroll through the Old Town, admire the famous Astronomical Clock and cross the iconic Charles Bridge while learning about the city’s fascinating past. Alternatively, join a guided hike to Prague Castle, one of the largest castle complexes in the world, where stunning views overlook the city’s red rooftops and winding streets. (B)

Experience one of the Czech Republic’s most famous traditions with a lively beer tasting featuring regional brews and local flavors. The remainder of the day is yours to further explore Prague’s charming neighborhoods, riverside promenades and historic landmarks. (B)

Prague-Regensburg-Vilshofen

Depart Prague and travel to Regensburg, one of Germany’s best-preserved medieval cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a guided highlights tour through the historic center, where cobblestone streets, Gothic architecture and centuries-old buildings create a timeless atmosphere. Later, continue to Vilshofen and prepare to embark on your luxurious AmaWaterways ship. (B,D)

Vilshofen - Embarkation

Board your AmaWaterways ship in Vilshofen and settle into your elegant stateroom. This evening, meet your fellow travelers during the Welcome Reception and enjoy your first gourmet dinner onboard as your Danube River journey begins. (B,L,D)

Passau

Arrive in Passau, known as the “City of Three Rivers,” where the Danube, Inn and Ilz Rivers meet. Join a guided walking tour through the colorful old town and sample local specialties along the way, or participate in a traditional Bavarian pretzel bakery workshop. Later, enjoy scenic cruising through the breathtaking Schloegener Schlinge, one of the Danube’s most picturesque bends. (B,L,D)

Linz

Today offers several exciting excursion choices. Travel to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and setting for The Sound of Music, where you may visit the magnificent Hohensalzburg Fortress or enjoy a special visit to the impressive Red Bull Hangar-7. Beer enthusiasts may choose a full-day excursion to Český Krumlov, a beautifully preserved Czech town known for its medieval charm and regional beer culture. Alternatively, remain in Linz and explore the city with a guided walking tour and museum pass. (B,L,D)

Wachau Valley

Spend the day enjoying scenic cruising through the UNESCO-designated Wachau Valley, one of Europe’s most beautiful river landscapes. Vineyards, charming villages, medieval castles and hilltop abbeys line the riverbanks as you relax onboard and take in the stunning scenery. (B,L,D)

Experience the elegance and grandeur of Vienna, Austria’s imperial capital. Choose from a guided “Imperial Vienna” city tour showcasing the city’s famous boulevards, palaces and landmarks, or explore on a guided bike tour. Additional options include a museum pass or an excursion to Burg Liechtenstein and the Seegrotte underground lake. Later, participate in a traditional Viennese waltz class before enjoying a special dinner and concert at the renowned House of Strauss. (B,L,D)

Budapest

One of the highlights of the cruise is the scenic arrival into Budapest, where both sides of the city — historic Buda and vibrant Pest — unfold along the Danube River.
