A delightful 8 day adventure combining world’s most impressive waterfalls set on the magnificient Zambezi River, the Chobe National Park which is renowned for its diverse and abundant game viewing opportunities and finally the largest inland delta in the world, the Okavango Delta.


The Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) considered to be the world’s widest waterfalls, Victoria Falls measures an impressive 1708 metres in width and the small town of Victoria Falls. The Chobe River forms the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park best known for its dense concentration of wildlife, including elephant and hippo populations, but the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them. 


The magnificent Okavango River sprawls out over the dry sands of the Kalahari Desert forming this flourishing waterlogged oasis featuring countless meandering waterways and crystal clear lagoons studded with water lilies, as well as fertile floodplains and reeded islands inhabited with abundant wildlife.


Visitors can enjoy a number of wonderful activities such as game viewing, fishing, bird watching or taking an authentic guided Mokoro excursion through this wetland paradise in a traditional dugout canoe. Commonly spotted animals include: lion, rhino, leopard, giraffe, hippos, elephants, crocodiles and countless species of bird.  A range of exciting activities such as 4WD along the banks; motorboat cruises; and rare birdlife spotting. For a unique, luxury safari experience, hire a houseboat.

The Winter months from May to the end of August are undoubtedly the best time to visit Botswana. During winter, days are warm without being too hot, and nights tend to get chilly.

The dry season, from July onwards, is the best time of year to go for big game viewing, as huge herds congregate around the water and greener areas. July-October is also when the Okavango Delta is in peak flood.

Victoria Falls international Airport

On arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Settle in and relax. 


Overnight at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.  Voted Best Safari Lodge/ Resort Hotel in Zimbabwe for 23 consecutive years, the staff are warm and personable and will ensure your holiday is hassle-free.


Built of thatch and timber, the lodge rises several levels, giving the impression of a vast open-plan tree house. The rooms all have private balconies, most of which overlook a central waterhole, offering the opportunity to observe herds of buffalo, elephant,s and kudu, as the sun goes down, and hyenas later in the evening.

Discover Victoria Waterfalls

The next morning you will have a guided tour of the Falls, time at leisure for optional activities, and a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. 


A view of Victoria Falls is something you will never forget and the best way to see them is on a guided tour. Discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. These tours are extremely informative and end with a visit to the local art and crafts centre.  


Dining options include the a la carte MaKuwa-Kuwa Restaurant, the more casual Buffalo Bar, and The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show.  The Boma Café, set in a tranquil garden setting and located close to the Lokuthula Lodges, offers breakfast and light meals until 4.30 pm.

Chobe River Safari Lodge

Transfer by road across the Zimbabwe border and into Botswana to your lodge on the Chobe River. Enjoy lunch and some time at leisure before your afternoon activity either a game drive in the Chobe National Park or a boat cruise/safari on the Chobe River. 


Overnight at Chobe Safari Lodge

  

Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. Right on the doorstep is the meeting of four African countries: Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Chobe Safari Lodge therefore offers an excellent getaway location to Chobe, Victoria Falls or Caprivi.

Cruise on the Chobe River

Morning and afternoon activities (game drive/boat cruise) with all meals at the lodge.

Okavango Delta

Final morning safari activity followed by breakfast and transfer to Kasane Airport for your small plane flight into the Okavango Delta. You will be met at the airstrip by your camp game drive vehicle and transfer to camp. 


Enjoy lunch, and time to settle into your accommodation before your first-afternoon safari activity. In the heart of the Okavango Delta’s Kwara Private Reserve, Splash Camp sits around a natural waterhole that attracts game all year round.

Splash Camp

The camp features ten en-suite tents and two guide tents of the same standard, all decorated in a sleek, contemporary style and positioned on a raised deck with an individual veranda overlooking the waterhole. The Kwando philosophy of being immersed in nature is reflected in its modern yet simple decor, and all rooms are open to the sounds of the bush.   


Being in a permanent water location, Splash Camp provides year-round activities such as game drives, walking safaris, boat cruises, mokoro rides, and seasonal fishing. The open-air central space, which benefits from the cooling breeze, houses the bar, lounge, and dining area.


Guests can swim in the pool or visit the safari shop. A light breakfast is served daily by the waterhole, and in the evenings, stories are told around the fire pit after supper.

Activities in the Delta

Mokoros are a great way to see and appreciate the delta from a different angle. This activity is available year-round at Splash due to the camp being situated in a permanent water location.

Day 8

Departure

 This morning after your last safari activity and breakfast at camp you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your small plane flight to Maun where you will catch your connecting onward flight.
