About this trip

What is your health and wellness worth to you?

How often do you take time to heal and be there for yourself, to turn off your daily routines and tune in within.
People spend money and time on what they believe is important to them! What is important to you?

**Join us for an immersion into the Mayan Jungles and sacred waters of Tulum. Entering on April 7th and exiting on April 12th 5 nights of bliss and recharging!**

Within each one of us lives a divine being often hidden by life's daily grind, outside expectations and inner self struggle. Our bodies often get stuck in patterns that are no longer healthy for us, as do our hearts and minds.

It can be tricky to recognize and overcome these difficult patterns on our own. Retreating is a way to jumpstart our existence by breaking down and though these old patterns, recognizing our toxic behavior and relationships while inviting in a deeper understanding of what it means to truly honor ourselves as the sacred and limitless beings that we are.

Each day of our retreat is designed to get us “out of the box” of our daily programing. Through practices such as; yoga, meditation, ceremony and traditional Mexican te'mezcal,  we will gently enter into a world of deep open space where love, beauty and creativity can emanate. A space where we can get closer to that divine open hearted and joyful person that exists within each of us.

Expect to:

Move Everyday ( Yoga )

Deepen Your Creativity ( Altar Creation )

See and Speak your truth ( Meditation and Partner Work )

Receive unconditionally ( Sacred Ceremony, Breath-work, Te’mezcal)

Activate the Power of your Voice ( Mantra, Toning, Songs )

Take in local sights, ancient ruins, swim in cenotes, lounge on the beach and much, much more!

About Your Guide

Amanda has been sharing the teachings of Yoga, Ayurveda and Ceremonial Practices in NYC and beyond for the past 15 years.

Amanda’s devotion to the path of higher consciousness has shaped her world into an immersive study of ceremonial practices, esoteric healing arts, intentional travel and sacred music. Her classes and teachings are a woven tapestry that threads together powerful embodiment, prayerful invocation and human heart connection.

Her aim with every experience is to create a safe container where participants can relate to themselves in new ways, through new levels of understanding be it experiential or intellectual knowledge. She believes that with the right tools, and when the student is absolutely ready, all is possible.

Amanda has traveled with her work to India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Egypt, The United Arab Emirates, throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. She has studied with mantra expert Thomas Ashley-Farrand as well as Swami Brahmananda Saraswati and Swami Umesh Yogi Ji of the Shankaracharya lineage. She is a dedicated student of recognized Taino Elder and Ceremonial Leader Maestro Manuel Rufino for whom she owes her eternal gratitude.

Extras

We have incredible connections with local healers and body work practitioners. If you would like to dedicate some of your retreat time to receiving decadent body treatments we are happy to arrange that for you. This is an additional cost to the retreat price. Specific information will be sent after your initial sign up.

Participation

The program is designed for you to go deeper into a pattern and way of being that you aren't normally used to living in. This can be incredibly liberating and also sometimes difficult as you go through your process of transformation. Know that this is a safe space and all of your feelings, thoughts and processes are welcome.

Because of the intimate space we are holding together the container of the retreat needs to be held at a high level and must be respected (out of respect for all participating and creating the retreat). There will be practices and discussions as well as silence with our practices. Our meals will be vegetarian with vegan options available. We will refrain from the use of substances, alcohol, tobacco, etc. This is purely for your benefit, to experience life in this way for just 7 days and see what arises in the absence of such things.

Participants are encouraged to fully immerse themselves in the practices and experiences being offered. However, we know that time and space are precious and if you feel called to take off for the day and do your own thing, while we don't recommend it, we will respect it. Leaving the retreat is at your own risk and cost.

Mayan Ruins Of Coba

Enjoy an afternoon exploring the ancient Mayan ruins of Coba. Here, we are able to climb some of the structures and tune into the powerful energy of this ancient civilization. Archaeologists believe the Mayan ruins of Coba were an incredibly important city for the Maya people and that it was the most powerful city in the region around 100 AD.

Our DRIVE to Coba includes stops along the way to buy souvenirs and local crafts!

Swimming in Cenotes!

Mexico's Yucatan peninsula is low and relatively flat with no surface rivers or streams. However, below the ground run the two longest underground water systems in the world which have directed the distribution of human settlement on the peninsula for the last 10,000 years...the world of the cenotes and underground rivers.

A "cenote" (pronounced say-NO-tay) is a natural sinkhole created where a cave ceiling has collapsed, a window to this spectacular world. Cenotes were the only source of water in the jungle for the Mayan civilization and are considered sacred by the Mayan people.

The Mayan considered cenotes to be an entrance to their "underworld" or "Xibalba" where their gods live and their spirits reside after death.

Ruins in Tulum!

Tulum is an ancient Mayan city whose seaport was mainly used for trading sacred stones of turquoise and jade. As well as being the only Mayan city built on a coast, Tulum was one of the few protected by a wall. Ancient Ruins are accessible through one of five doorways in the wall.

Tulum remains popular because of its elegant setting on sheer limestone cliffs above the turquoise splendor of the crashing Caribbean, the only Mayan city built on the coast!
