Shivapuri National Park is located to the northern part of the capital city Kathmandu, Nepal. The area of national park is extended to 3 districts of Nepal, Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk with an area of 159 square kilometer.
The highest point of this park is at 2732 meters, flora and fauna, and a Buddhist monastery (Nagi Gompa) are the main attractions for a day hike with yoga or mediation.

One day hiking with yoga or meditation in Shivapuri national park starts an early morning drive to Budhanilkantha, the northern side of Kathmandu valley.
Budhanilkhantha is also a popular Hindus religious place dedicated to the lord Vishnu and the main entrance of national park from where your day hike starts.
After walking for few minutes in the nature (Jungle), you will reach to the Buddhist monastery (Nagi Gompa), where lama does regular pray and meditation especially during the morning time.
After exploring the cultural site, it takes few hours to reach the top of the Shivaapuri Hill walking through the alpine forest, from where you can get the panoramic view of mighty Himalayas like Ganesh Himal, Langtang to Jugal himal range and the view of Kathmandu valley.
