We’ll build a little heat and you’ll move your body, but think of this as a workout in the way that strolling through a museum is also a workout. Think low, think slow, think sensual but not punishing. We'll start with restorative because showing up is exhausting, then do some meditation and some simmering movement (many seated poses!). And then we will finish off with a full unwind with blankets and bolsters and an extremely luxurious savasana. Our playlist will be VERY heavy on Bjork, Sade, Marisa's "vagus nerve" playlist, etc. 90 minutes of heaven!!
Marisa Meltzer is a restorative yoga teacher at Sky Ting who might play a number from the Nutcracker in class and aspires to be more like her bulldog, Joan, who sleeps 22 hours a day.
Alice York is a yoga and meditation teacher based in Chicago. She focuses on restorative, reformative, and restful practices that evoke less stress and more joy.
