Hello traveller, let’s pack for a French Castle, shall we?

We are overjoyed to have secured dates for a second stay in this hard to book gem of a castle in the south of France. 

I still have fond memories of first approaching what looked like a stone dot on the horizon back in 2023.  Getting closer I realised that that 'dot' was a sprawling estate and possibly, was the very place I had booked us to stay in.  I crossed over the bridge, across AN ACTUAL MOAT,  passed through the medieval gates and wandered around the grounds looking for someone to tell me I had got the wrong place.

I was stood at the bottom of a turret when I heard in the distance

'Monsieur, Monsieur... la guitare sociale?' 

Later everyone else arrived, and I had the pleasure of welcoming them across the bridge. It was the kind of moment life doesn't offer all that often, a highlight of my time working at The Guitar Social. 

I can't wait to return. 

We welcome all levels of player on our retreats. This includes a mix of beginners to advance players. The Guitar Social is a specialist in making mixed groups work. This is achieved through upscaling simple songs so advanced and beginner players can jam together and/or, re-arranging the workshop schedule so that all attendees receive their allocated workshop hours by running additional workshops beyond what is listed below. 

Unlike our other retreats, this one doesn't have a day by day schedule. This is because the time is mainly spent enjoying jams in the grounds, resting, reading, eating, pretending we are nobility. 

There will be three hours of workshops everyday as well as many more ad-hoc jams and events. There are two walks out of the grounds and a drive to a gorgeous place for swimming early one morning. 

Confirming the trip, refunds, flights and other transport detail

The trip is confirmed once we have achieved 70% of the bookings needed. This is when you should book your flights. We will be in touch once the trip is confirmed.

The castle's closest airports are Lyon and Montpeiller. Both are approximately a three hour drive away.  You will be linked in with a whatsapp where, if you decide to car share, you can discuss.
