This was a nice excursion, the fish market was amazing. Wish we could have eaten there. I loved the demonstration at the hat factory. Those were the most interesting places for me. We were a little rushed at the end to be in time for boarding the ship. But it was a fun day with a great guide.

We had the pleasure of having Mauro as our guide again. The Pacoche Wildlife Reserve was well worth the visit. The Reserve guide, Mary Lou, was extremely knowledgeable, and Mauro did an excellent job translating. Mauro is also knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the reserve. After, we went to San Lorenzo, and saw the turtle nesting sites. We had a delicious fish dinner at a local restaurant. We went to the lighthouse, and enjoyed scenic views. It was a wonderful way to end our time in Manta. Thank you Narwell Tours and Mauro.

We had an amazing excursion to Manta and Montecristi. We started in Manta and visited the local fish market . It was one of the most fascinating stops watching the fish being sold that had arrived early that morning . Seeing the fresh tuna and other seafood is a real local experience. Montecristi was a completely different feel. It’s smaller and more traditional. It was really interesting learning that the famous Panama hats actually come from here. Seeing the craftsmanship up close made us appreciate them so much more — the detail and skill are incredible. We all bought one! A big part of what made the day so special was our lovely guide, Mauro. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything feel relaxed and fun. He shared great local insights, You could really tell he cares about his guests and his country.
