Join Away With Rhay as we explore 6 cities in the beautiful country of Morocco. This North African  gem is a sight to see and we will take 10 days to travel to Marrakech,  Dades Valley, The Sahara Desert, Fes, Chefchaouen, and Casablanca. This is a once in a lifetime experience and we can't wait to host you!

Please note: The tour commences on October 29th but many people will have to book a flight October 28th due to the time difference. You must arrive in Casablanca by 5pm on October 29, 2022 as we will then drive via private transfer to Marrakech

31 or more days before the first scheduled day of the trip: 50% of amount paid can be refunded(not including deposit which is non-refundable)

30 days or less before the first scheduled day of the trip: No refunds will be granted.

While Away With Rhay does not offer travel insurance, it is highly recommended you purchase a travel insurance policy.

Today we will meet in in Casablanca’s international airport Mohammed V International Airport (Airport code: CMN)

Everyone should plan to arrive by 5 pm 

We will head to Marrkech from here (2.5-3 hour drive) and check in to our hotel for the evenin.

After breakfast at our Riad , a local guide will take us on a journey to explore Marrakech . The tour will include the Bahia Palace, the Saadienne tombs, the koutoubia mosque, Jamaa el Fna Square, the Majorelle garden and Ben Youssef Medrasa. Walking through the souks, we’ll be able to enjoy the sights, sounds of Marrakech. 

After breakfast you will have a free day to explore! We also do a cooking class today but you will also have time to do optional activities such as hot air balloons, a spa day, etc!

After breakfast we will start our journey to the Sahara desert. We will be crossing the Tizi N Tichka pass of the  High Atlas Mountains enjoying the mountainous road and the spectacular Berber villages, to reach the Unesco world heritage site “Ait benhaddou village”, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has served as a natural scenery for many movie producers. You will go on a walk with a local guide crossing the river to the other side to discover The Ksar and climb to the top of the hill through the alleys of Ait-ben-Haddou.

After Lunch we will continue to Dades Gorge. We will stay overnight at a Dades Hotel and Dinner and Breakfast is included 

After breakfast, we will journey towards the Sahara Desert. We will arrive in Rissani which is also famous as a starting point of the ancient caravan roads crossing the Sahara desert. Mid afternoon, we will cross some rocky terrain all the way to Merzouga, where our camel caravan will be waiting for us. We will take acamel ride over Erg Chebbi dunes to watch an amazing sunset, before we return to our Sahara desert luxury camp. We will then enjoy dinner under the stars while beingn entertained by our local hosts. Tonight we will stay overnight at our Sahara luxury desert camp

Wake early to admire the desert sunrise, then we will have breakfast, and meet our driver.  Today’s route follows the course of the Ziz River. We will pass through the spectacular Ziz River gorge before traversing the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will reach Fes late afternoon and stay overnight in Fes. We will explore Fes in the morning.

After breakfast, we will start our guided city tour of Fez, once the capital of the kingdom before 1912. Our visit today will revolve around exploring Fez’s  Medina which is a World Heritage Site, according to the UNESCO, and it was founded in the 9th century and it is home to the world’s oldest university. Our local guide will show us around the major sites  and we will attend a pottery workshop with a pottery master so that we get to have a full Moroccan experience. After lunch at a local restaurant, you are free to either choose to go back to our hotel or stroll in the narrow alley of the old town ar your leisure. 

Today, we will depart earlier after breakfast as we will be driving to chefchaouen. 

You will have the opportunity to enjoy Chefchaouen(the blue city!)  at leisure

We will stay overnight in Chefchaouen

Today we will have breakfast then journey towards Casablanca, where our journey began! We will visit the Hassan II mousque and will have time to explore Casablanca at leisure. 

This will be our final evening together!

Today we will have breakfast and then depart to the airport for our journey back home!
