Cum One, Cum All (or up to 50 of you anyway), and join the most epic Eurohash Pre-Lube in the history of Eurohash Pre-Lubes!
You are hereby cordially invited to join Sloppy Stool as he leaves his safe space on the river just long enough to take a train journey through central and eastern Europe, departing from Prague and stopping in Brno, Bratislava, Budapest, and two cities in Romania, before finally arriving in Bucharest the day before the Red Dress Run which will open Eurohash!
The itinerary is as follows;
Day One: Meet in Prague - Hash Pub Crawl and Dinner.
Day Two: Hash Trail in Prague - Lunch and Dinner.
Day Three: Morning train to Brno - Hash Trail, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Four: Morning train to Bratislava - Hash Trail, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Five: Morning train to Budapest - Hash Trail, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Six: Morning train to Arad* - Hash Trail, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Seven: Very early morning train to Medias* - Hash Trail, Lunch and Dinner.
Day Nine: People find accommodation for Eurohash.
*It's possible we may stop somewhere else for one or both of these nights, depending on availability of accommodation. The important thing is that the journey between Budapest and Bucharest will be broken up into three, easily manageable sections rather than the nightmare overnight direct train!
We might also have a light lunch BEFORE the trail in some places, depending on arrival time and how people feel :-)
This, as always, is the MOST important question. The total cost for the whole journey is 1200 Euros, or 150 Euros per day. This is for as near to an all-inclusive trip as I can possibly make it when setting prices this far in advance!
2 nights in Prague, 1 in Brno, 1 in Bratislava, 1 in Budapest, 1 in Arad, 1 in Medias, and 1 in Bucharest. This will be 3 or 4 star hotels with maximum two people per room.
All your beer, wine and softies will be covered throughout - this includes hash trail drinks, hash train drinks, drinks with lunch and dinner, and more besides. It doesn't include hotel minibars!
7 x lunch, 8 x dinner, plus train snacks. Probably not late night kebabs when you get lost and are trying to find the way home somewhere. Unless I'm with you, then anything is possible!
Your train tickets will be covered, and there will be group tickets on all trains so we'll all be together - making each train a party train! There are six trains in total, the longest around 6 hours.
Almost certainly a special Sloppy shirt, plus some other goodies that will be decided closer to the time - hats, backpacks, sunglasses, and other things are all possible! Maybe even some Sloppy Booze!
You need to find your own way to Prague unfortunately.
We will have a meet and greet pub crawl day where we check into the hotel, and a hash trail day where we all get silly together. Any days before that are on you, but I can recommend places.
This is, of course, a Eurohash Prelube. But it doesn't include the cost of Eurohash - that's on you I'm afraid.
Once Eurohash is done it's on you to get home. While I can maybe help with recommendations depending on where you're going, I'm not going to pay your flights to anywhere!
I know you guys are crafty and always looking for a loophole, so if it isn't listed I'm not paying! This definitely includes strip clubs and karaoke bars and the likes!
We'll meet in Prague on Wednesday 4th August, and people can check into the Hash Hotel as and when they arrive. There will be an evening dinner starting at 7pm, followed by a pub crawl of some of the most interesting places Sloppy knows! This will be covered by Hash Cash!
As per the event name, on Thursday August 5th we'll have a hash trail, which will include a stop for lunch, then after a chance to freshen up we'll have a group dinner and many more beers. Hopefully by this point everyone in the group will have arrived!
On Friday August 6th we'll take a morning train from Prague to Brno (journey time approx 2.5 hours), and should arrive around lunchtime. After checking into the hotel we'll have a light lunch, followed by a hash trail, with a group dinner and beer in the evening.
On Saturday August 7th we'll again take a morning train, this time across the border to Slovakia and Bratislava. Journey time is approximately 2 hours.
Once in Bratislava we'll follow the same routine as the day before - check into hotel, have lunch, do a trail, then meet up for dinner and beer in the evening. There might also be a pub crawl added, depending on how tired people are.
On Sunday August 8th we'll take another morning train, this time the journey should be approximately 4.5 hours, taking us from Bratislava into Hungary and Budapest. Once there we'll join up with the Budapest Hash House Harriers for their weekly trail, before having a light lunch as usual and meeting up for dinner and drinks in the evening.
Depending on arrival time we may need to store luggage at the train station in order to get to the hash on time, but I'll be liasing with the Budapest Hash in advance to try to make sure we have time for everything we need to do :-)
On Monday August 9th we'll take the train into Romania, to the town of Arad, a journey of approximately 4.5 hours.
Once there we'll do the same as the other days - check into hotel, have lunch, have a hash trail, and meet up for dinner and drinks in the evening.
On Tuesday 10th August we'll head to Medias, another Romanian town. Or Sighişoara, depending on which has the better options for hotels!
This will be the earliest train of the trip by far, so I'd suggest a reasonably early night the night before!
Once we arrive at our destination we'll follow the same program as the other days, with a trail, lunch, and group dinner. And beer of course!
Wednesday 11th August is the eighth and final day of our adventure, and we'll take our final morning train to Bucharest. This is the longest train ride, approximately 6 hours, but we'll have plenty of supplies on board to make sure we can all stay fed and hydrated to the end!
Once we arrive in Bucharest we'll check into our final hotel before heading out for a well earned lunch and maybe a short final trail, before hopefully meeting with some local Bucharest hashers for dinner and drinks in the evening. There may even be some shots to celebrate the end of an epic journey!
This is where my responsibility for you all ends! Hopefully you'll have had the sense to book accommodation in advance, so you can spend the morning changing hotels before heading to the Red Dress Run and helping to kick Eurohash 2027 off in style!
