These are trying times. We are being asked to sit in discomfort and uncertainty like we have never been before. Pushed to examine our internal selves and surface beliefs, patterns and ways of being that may be creating barriers to showing up in community. Through movement and art, Jen and Lila will help you open to deeper parts of yourself. Be a conduit for that which is buried - what is simply waiting to arise. In this virtual retreat you will engage in Yoga and Pilates based movement, guided meditation, art and writing.

Lila and Jen are committed to creating brave and nurturing spaces for learning, moving, and sharing. They believe in the transformative power of movement and art. The retreat is split into two- two hour blocks with a break in between for lunch. A Spotify playlist will be provided.

About Jen:

Jen Ammenti uses various creative forms to excavate and process memories and narrative moments. Her most recent methodology applies text and collage in the construction of 6-word memoirs. Inspired by the interplay of explicit language and symbolic imagery, Jen explores the edge between public and private processing of our lived experience.

Lila believes that when we feel good in our bodies, we are inspired to do good in the world. Her goal is to help people move better, breathe better and feel better to live a life they love. Lila has been teaching private and group Pilates since 2004. She has been leading transformational retreats since 2010. Bell Valley was a lovely place to experience Lila's Spring Retreat. I appreciate Lila's ability to accommodate all skill levels and physical abilities. I always felt encouraged and supported. It was fun to explore different ways to move throughout the weekend. I felt deeply nourished and rejuvenated. The food was amazing and the natural setting was simply beautiful. 10 days have passed since I spent the weekend at Lila Heller's Mendocino Spring Renewal Retreat and I am still feeling the positive effects of a weekend filled with rejuvenation and renewal. The itinerary was a perfect mix of classes in the morning and afternoon, free time to hike and explore the amazing property, and meal-times with delicious food from a nourishing chef. I feel so lucky to have spent three days with healers Lila, Shannon, Natalie, Prema, and Nora.

Thank you Lila for creating a lovely day of self-care and movement. It was exactly what I needed. I enjoyed the balance of stillness, reflection, fun, collaboration, connection and strengthening exercises. The body awareness that classes with you activate last through the days that follow. Enjoyed all the offerings of each modality and instructors. Looking forward to more retreats at home and in person. Thank you for a truly heart-opening experience.

Lila did a fantastic job of creating a well balanced retreat. Holding time for movement, personal reflection and laughter. The facility was peaceful and beautiful. There were amazing views and hiking trails and the accommodations were rustic but very very comfortable. The food was healthy and delicious, i looked forward to every meal. I appreciated that folks could engage when they wanted and step back if they preferred. Looking forward to doing another retreat with Lila soon!
