Please read these terms carefully before making a deposit or payment for a Tour. These terms may be supplemented by additional terms and conditions specific to your Tour (“Supplemental Terms”). In the event of a conflict between this agreement and the supplemental terms, the supplemental terms will apply.

All bookings must be accompanied by a non-refundable $250 deposit. No travel arrangements will be booked unless the deposit is paid.

Guests are required to make reservations in the full name that is verified on his/her government documentation that will be used for traveling. If you need to make any changes to a name after travel documents have been issued, clients will be responsible for all name change fees, if applicable. HIM Tours Ghana will not be responsible for passengers who do not receive an invoice or documents or are denied boarding due to inaccurate information.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents. Passports are required to be valid for at least six months after the date of travel. Some countries require a full blank “VISA” page in the passport for stamping purposes. Any information provided in the travel description pertains to U.S. citizens only. Non-US citizens should check with the respective consulate of the country(s) to be visited for current entry requirements.

All payments to HIM Tours Ghana are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is due to contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This will also allow us to price our packages competitively and allows you to make monthly payments on your vacation. However, HIM Tours Ghana will provide a travel credit if the company suspends the trip. Any travel credit must be used within 12 months from the date the credit is issued.

Reservations can be paid in full at the time of booking. If reservations are not paid in full, then monthly installment payments can be arranged. Monthly installment payments that are 30 days past due will cancel automatically. There are no refunds, and deposits shall be forfeited. A fee of $250 per traveler will apply to reinstate your reservation.

If final and full payments are not received by the applicable due date(s), reservations are subject to cancellation, and all funds are forfeited. You can enroll in our automatic billing and relax knowing that your future payments will be made automatically. When you book, we’ll calculate an evenly divided automatic billing payment for you. You will know in advance your payment due date for each month that your payment will be processed. Your initial deposit is due at the time of booking, and your future payments will be charged according to the schedule you see on your invoice. Automatic billing is available at no charge.

Suppose your travel reservations have been canceled, and you notify us within 14 days that you want to reinstate your reservations. In that case, a service reinstatement fee of $250 will be added to your invoice and must be paid in advance in order to apply for reconfirmation of services.

Once reservations have been made, cancellations will only be accepted in writing via email to himtoursghana22@gmail.com.

HIM Tours Ghana strongly recommends that you purchase trip cancellation and medical insurance. HIM Tours Ghana does not provide insurance applications or recommendations. Any questions about what travel insurance does or does not cover should be addressed directly to the travel insurance company. If you decline insurance coverage, you will personally assume full responsibility for any financial loss associated with your travel arrangements. You could lose your travel investment and/or have to pay more money to correct the situation.

You should also use a credit card as opposed to a debit card. All double occupancy rooms requested are standard twin beds (two single beds) rooms with private facilities. Please understand although we will make a bed type request on your behalf, bed types are subject to availability. Room selection in all cases is strictly at the discretion of the hotel’s management on a run-of-house basis. All hotel rates are based on HIM Tours Ghana, travel agreements with its suppliers, and are not negotiable. Hotel check-in time is generally not before 3:00 p.m.; check-out time is by noon.

Roommate matching is available. When making your reservations, please select “double occupancy” and send an email to himtoursghana22@gmail.com to request roommate matching or notify us of an already chosen roommate. If we cannot match you with a roommate, you’ll be upgraded to single occupancy.

Familiarize yourself with your airline’s policies and requirements before booking. Unless stated otherwise by the airlines, it is important to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to departure for international flights. Late arrival at the airport can result in loss of assigned seats or denial of boarding. Denial of boarding is not eligible for refund or travel insurance reimbursement. Airfare re-booking is subject to airline penalties, re-booking fees, plus any cost difference of the new flight. Seat assignments are subject to change by the airline without notice. Airline Frequent Flier Programs: Passengers are responsible for contacting their airline directly regarding mileage eligibility and accrual. Airline frequent flier programs determine whether to award miles in part or in total based on their own rules, which are updated frequently.

Transportation is provided as indicated for each Tour by HIM Tours Ghana. If you deviate from the arrival and/or departure dates as stated in the itinerary, you will be responsible for purchasing your own transportation to the hotel. In the case of a delay, whether due to flight delay, immigration, and customs, or time spent reporting baggage damage or loss, it will be your responsibility to make other transportation arrangements, such as a taxi.

Prices include programming, planning, handling, and operational charges and are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs, and taxes in effect at the time of publication. HIM Tours Ghana reserves the right to cancel, withdraw or change the Tour in whole or in part at any time in the event a change is deemed necessary by HIM Tours Ghana. On dates including, but not limited to, religious holidays and national celebrations, some monuments and sites may be closed. On these occasions, touring itineraries may be amended to reflect these closures. Occasionally, during holidays and certain periods, and/or due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather conditions, there may be last-minute changes. Changes may occur after arrival and may affect the sequence of the Tour, locations visited, and/or hotels. Therefore, we reserve the right to adjust the sequence and/or substitute any hotels with others of similar accommodations. In such cases, there will be no cost adjustment. National monuments and tourist sites regularly undergo renovations, which can obscure the monument’s view. No tour will be canceled due to renovations; however, HIM Tours Ghana will decide, based on the conditions, whether to amend an itinerary. We will not give a breakdown of the price of a tour or its parts. HIM Tours Ghana’s itineraries may contain suggestions for activities for your leisure time. These suggestions do not constitute an endorsement of any specific service provider, and the decision to participate in any such activities should be made independently and with due consideration.

We will be transported by motor vehicle for sightseeing. The size of the transportation is determined by the number of participants. HIM Tours Ghana tours have been designed to accommodate individuals as well as groups. Times listed in the itineraries are approximate and meant only as guidelines. Some itineraries may have an early morning start time for sightseeing in order to complete the tour during daylight hours to avoid afternoon heat in tropical and desert climates. It is your responsibility to arrive on time. Arriving late may be considered a “no-show,” in which case you will not be eligible for a refund for the unused service(s). We cannot guarantee the number of passengers who will be on any given tour.

Tipping is encouraged. The quality of service should dictate your generosity to those who serve you.

To ensure the desired group vibe, HIM Tours Ghana reserves the right to accept, reject or expel any individual who is deemed disruptive or incompatible with the interests of the group. Including, but not limited to, individuals who are intoxicated and/or under the influence of drugs leading to a negative experience for the remainder of the group. Expenses, including cancellation fees and/or costs for alternate travel plans or to return home, will necessarily be borne by the passenger. All unused services are non-refundable.

HIM Tours Ghana may take photographs or videos of its vacations, and trip participants must grant HIM Tours Ghana permission to do so and for it to be used for promotional or commercial use without payment of any compensation to the participants.

All children under eighteen must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults are responsible for the safety of their children, including providing any necessary safety equipment (such as infant/child seats) where appropriate. Please note that many countries have adopted practices to prevent international abductions of children. If a person under eighteen will be traveling with an adult other than his/her parents or with only one parent, a notarized letter written by the parents, or non-traveling parent, granting authorization to travel, including the dates of travel, should be carried.

To fully enjoy your HIM Tours Ghana tour, we recommend that you select a trip that is suitable to your physical capabilities. Tour participants requiring any form of assistance, including travelers with physical disabilities and sight or hearing impairments, are required to notify HIM Tours Ghana Tour prior to reservation for review and our agreement. Additionally, the tour participant must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers, or other Tour, hotel, and ship personnel are not able to provide such assistance. In order to participate in escorted tours, passengers must be able to understand and follow instructions given by the Tour Director at all times, both for the successful operation of the Tour as well as for their personal safety. HIM Tours Ghana reserves the right to reject participation or remove any individual from a tour if notification was not provided and/or when, in our sole judgment, continued participation would significantly hinder the services to be provided to all guests. Expenses, including cancellation fees and/or costs for alternate travel plans or to return home, will be the passenger’s sole responsibility. Escorted tours are fast-paced, often requiring lengthy walks over uneven terrain. In the interests of group harmony, clients should be able to maintain the pace of the Tour. Clients with special needs may be better served independently.

We assume no responsibility for any personal injury, property damage or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any matter beyond our exclusive control, including but not limited to a delay or cancellation that causes you to miss all or any portion of the Retreat, acts of God, acts of government, war, terrorist acts, riots, disaster, weather extremes or strikes. As the leader of this trip, I am VERY pleased with the caliber of service provided by HIM Tours. While this was my 4th trip to Ghana (2000, 2006, 2019), I worked with HIM Tours diligently for months to ensure that it was a life-transforming experience for the 23 family members, friends and friends of friends who joined me in celebration of my BIG 7-0. Based on comments shared with me throughout the tour and in our What’s App chat even since it ended, the vast majority of the travelers LOVED the trip. Although there were a few missteps when moving 24 people around a large portion of Ghana, I still recommend HIM Tours with enthusiasm! The luxurious Kempinksi Hotel in Accra with its fabulous buffets and the elegant Oak Plaza Suites in Kumasi were outstanding accommodations. The rustic Coconut Grove Beach Resort was beautifully-situated on the shores of the majestic Atlantic Ocean, but we were disappointed with the poor quality of the rooms and HIM Tours will be in touch with the management to share our concerns. HIM Tours was extremely accommodating of our large group and worked overtime to ensure that our expressed needs were met. I am grateful that travelers had life-transforming experiences and made new friends for a lifetime!

My wife and I just returned from Ghana this past weekend. ABEN in Ghana afforded us a great opportunity to see Ghana the ten days we vistied with a group of 22. Our host and guides Monica Utsey and Daniel Okoe Okpoti were really hands on with the group and prepared to give us the best expirence a first timer could expect. The hotel accomodations were great and the food was fresh and tasty. The Botanical gardens in the Eastern region was such beautiful eye opening, informational, and an enlightening expierence. Our guide was so knowledgeable. He shared so much valuable information about every aspect of the natural resources that plants, trees, and flowers which produce so many healing properties. Our guide informed us that he was a graduate of the University of Ghana and that his studies was Bontany. It really showed. We also we visited the home and museum of Dr. W.E. B. Du Bois. We visited Kume Nkrumah museum, we went to Kumasi, we visited the place of our ancestors grave; we walked the path and marched to the river where our ancestors took their last bath before the trecherous and inhumane walk to be sold and transported. We stepped into the same river to bath as free people of the Diaspora. We were able to write our names on the wall of rememberance. We visited in Cape Coast to visit the salve dungeons. We visited Ntonso to deliver school supplies to the children and make our on stoles with Andrinka symbols. We visited the Kente Cloth factory and purchase various items. We visited NaKum National Park. We hiked and walked across seven bridges over the rain forest. Of course we were provided the opportunity to see the largest market in the world. We shopped and also had garments personally prepared by professional seamstress and talior. ABEN in Ghana is the way to see the country in a warm and personable way. Okoe and Monica made us to feel comfortable and confident throughout the tour and visit. Last but not least, we were part of a naming ceremony. My wife Mattie and I also renewed our wedding vows at the ceremony. My new name is Michael Anthony Johnson NII OKPOTI. Thank you ABEN in Ghana.

I recently had the privilege of embarking on a 10-day multi-city tour with HIM Tours Ghana, and I can confidently say that it was a truly life-changing experience. From the moment we set foot in this beautiful country, we were immersed in Ghana's rich culture, and the love and warmth of its people made this journey truly unforgettable. One of the highlights of the tour was the impeccable accommodation in 5-star hotels. It was a luxury to come back to such comfortable and inviting spaces after a day of exploration. The tour itself was carefully curated to provide a holistic view of Ghana, encompassing its past, present, and future. What set this tour apart from others was the flexibility offered to us as tourists to engage and interact with the locals. The tour guides were not just knowledgeable, but they also encouraged us to talk to the people we met along the way. This allowed us to gain insights into the local way of life and forge meaningful connections with the community. A heartwarming and delightful aspect of the trip was the opportunity to dance with the children and decorate Kente scarves at the afterschool program. This experience was both fun and heartwarming, and it gave us a chance to feel connected to the younger generation and their vibrant spirit. However, the most poignant and spiritual moment of the tour was the walk on the trail to the Last Bath. The significance of this historical site left a deep impact on all of us, and it was a moment of reflection and reverence that will remain with me forever. Beyond being an enjoyable trip, this tour was incredibly educational and transformational. I learned so much about Ghana's history, culture, and traditions, and it broadened my perspective in ways I never anticipated. The tour managed to strike a perfect balance between enriching experiences and having a great time. Moreover, the camaraderie among the tour participants was a special aspect of this journey. Getting to know my fellow travelers, especially my sisters, on a deeper level was a unique and cherished experience. I also made new friends during the trip, and I can honestly say that these are friendships that will last a lifetime. In fact, I have already recommended HIM Tours to friends and family, as I believe that this experience should be shared with as many people as possible. The level of care, attention to detail, and genuine passion that the team at HIM Tours invests in their work is evident in every aspect of the journey. In conclusion, HIM Tours Ghana provided an educational, transformational, and incredibly fun journey into the heart of Ghana's culture and its loving people. It was an experience that touched my heart and soul, leaving me with beautiful memories and a newfound appreciation for the world we live in. I cannot thank HIM Tours enough for this life-changing adventure.

I’m not sure where to start writing this review. Before we arrived in Ghana, the touring company set up a ‎WhatsApp for all of us, so that we could stay connected. Monica & Okeo prepared us even before our arrival. From the moment we touched down in Ghana we were warmly welcomed with open arms &each of us were giving an African kente cloth & hugs. We did not have to struggle with our overpacked suitcases, and there were many 😊They loaded them all on the bus. From the very first, Monica and Okeo made you feel very comfortable. We couldn’t check into the hotel until 3 PM and our flight was early so we begin touring. They made sure we had all of our bags and were comfortably seated on the bus. They were very professional and very thorough as we drove to our first touring destinations. I was very impressed with their knowledge about Ghana & surrounding regions that we visited. They were very educated in telling the history of events during the tour ;and you could tell instantly that they had an everlasting love for this beautiful country. They were patient with answering questions and making sure we all understood. All of the tours that were pre-arranged were excellent, and all the presenters were very passionate and telling their story . This was a 10 day tour. Every morning we received a complete itinerary for the events of the day. Sometimes because the group wanted to do something a little different. They were very flexible and accommodating to our request. They were concerned about our well-being and frequently reminded us of the things we needed to do to stay safe as well as to stay healthy. One person in our group took ill during the night Okko got out of his bed at the crack of dawn, and searched the area for a pharmacy that was open to bring back medication for her. When we went to the markets their whole team walked with us side-by-side bargained with the vendors. They were very knowledgeable about the merchandise we were buying and negotiated good prices for us. They even carried our shopping, bags and there were many. They were always very accommodating. They took orders for various items that people wanted. bought them with their own money and brought them back to the hotel. They even arranged for vendors hair braiders seamstress to come to the hotel, so we did not always have to go out to the very crowded and overwhelming market places. They arranged for people to come to the hotel to exchange our US dollars for a better exchange rate, They even upon request took some of us to places that were not part of the tour. I will be eternally grateful for the experience that I had in Ghana. The hotel accommodations were excellent. All 5 star resorts and some were literally steps from the ocean. All of the tours were well organized. I now feel that I have a family in Ghana, 🥰and I pray that your business prosper in every way. I will certainly tell anyone going to Ghana to connect with you. Can’t wait to visit again.🙏😊😊

This was the most unorganized trip I have ever been on, and I have been on many group trips. In addition, I have also had training and worked as a travel agent. Tour guides usually give some history of the country during the bus rides and points out sites that we pass along the way. We had no such tour guide on the bus. Okoe greeted us each time before the bus took off, we had prayer and then he rode next to his wife on the front seat. I never really understood their roles in the tour. There were constant time fluctuations that increased our times on the road which were very tiresome. The itinerary also kept changing. All of the hotels were not 5 , 4 nor 3 stars. The Coconut Grove had beautiful grounds along side the beautiful ocean, but the rooms sucked for most of us. Everyone complained of the hard mattresses. Our first room was downright awful, and the second one we were moved to was not much better. In one of the bedrooms, the refrigerator leaked water on the floor the entire three nights, and the A/C was so loud, it had to be turned off. The ceiling fan was not worth a darn either. I killed several crawling bugs that looked like giant red ants on my bedroom floor. Most of the gym equipment was broken , and the smallest weight was 45lbs. It was a grueling 10-day trip, and Idid enjoy some of it, but I would not recommend this trip to anyone else.
