Day 1  Arrive in Lima

Welcome at Lima! You and your group will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel. You will have the afternoon free to rest and acclimatize. Before dinner, we will have an introduction and briefing about your Peruvian adventure.

Day 2  Lima - Colonial Center (L-D)

Discover Lima on a guided city tour! Peru’s capital is a rich kaleidoscope of colonial architectural jewels, revered pre-Columbian sites, charming residential areas, and vibrant shopping districts perched over the blue Pacific. Visit the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum and see the largest private collection of pre-Colombian Peruvian art in the world. Our tour continues to the city’s neighborhoods along the Pacific coast.

 Day 3  Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley (B-L)

Take a morning flight to Cusco (not included) and then drive across the Andes into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The views are stunning. We will have a pic-nic lunch along the drive, before reaching our hotel in the Sacred Valley. Rest of the afternoon relaxing from the day of travel. We will have an introduction to the Sacred Valley attractions later this evening.

Day 4  Sacred   Valley (B-L)

Visit 3 sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First, the Maras Salt Mines, where you will see hundreds of salt ponds from an accessible viewpoint. Then, a panoramic view of Moray, an Incan agricultural experimental center famous for its elliptical irrigation terraces. And finally, the fortress of Ollantaytambo, built by the Incas and where six huge rectangular monoliths (estimated weight: 50 tons) form the Temple of the Sun. For each of the visits we will use our off-road wheelchairs which will allow us to move around the locations. 

Day 5  Sacred Valley   - Amaru Communtity (B-L)

Decode the mysteries of Andean Iconography during a visit to the Amaru community. Members of the community will make us lunch before we depart for the colorful Pisac Market (mostly accessible.) We will also enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Pisac Ruins, which is located high on the mountains at 3300 meters above sea level. Return to our hotel late afternoon 

Day 6   Machu Picchu (B-L)

Prepare to visit Machu Picchu! Take a train through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the fabulous mountaintop ruins of Machu Picchu. For centuries, this lost city was buried in the jungle until Hiram Bingham discovered it in 1911. A private bus will transfer you to the top of the ruins where a guided tour will illuminate the mysteries of Machu Picchu.

 Day 7 Sacred   Valley  (B)

After yesterday’s adventure to Machu Picchu, today is a day of leisure and relaxation.

Day 8 Sacred   Valley (B-L)

We will leave the Sared Valley and drive back to Cusco. As we get closer to Cusco, we will visit the labyrinthine ruins of Qenqo (“zigzag”) & Puca Pucara (Red Fortress). Enjoy a guided visit and picnic lunch nearby Sacsayhuaman (speckled falcon), the fortress above Cusco whose precise zigzags of massive stone remain unmoved after centuries.  Around mid afternoon we will check in at hotel in Cusco. Later in the afternoon it is a good opportunity to go out to discover town 

Day 9 Cusco   (B-L)

 Explore Cusco on a private city tour! The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral, considered the best repository of colonial art from the Cusco school. We’ll continue the circuit to Qoricancha (court of gold), also known as the “Temple of the Sun,” the religious and political center of Cusco during the Inca era.  Rest of afternoon is on your own to do some shopping or enjoy an afternoon in Cusco. Day 10 Cusco   (B)

Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima (flight not included.) We can provide assistance to connect with your international flight
