Liveaboard cruising throughout the Indonesian archipelago

Reviews

Great Trip, the crew was great with our 1 year old, from meals to safety while catering to the rest of us 28-53. One day we went to the beach on an island we had to ourselves. two of the crew built a coral and sea shell structure for the baby...very impressive. The Dive team took us to tremendous sites and we experienced some tremendous encounters. Our hikes on the islands were well planned. The guides avoided peak times. We were leaving komodo island and wow, hoards of people heading our way. They really insured that it was a non busy private time. The ship itself is nicely decorated with handcrafted woods in cabins, stone in bathrooms and overall beautiful.

An Unforgettable Dive Cruise with Adelaar – Boutique Luxury Meets Adventure If you're looking for a truly unique liveaboard diving experience in Indonesia, Adelaar delivers on every front. From the moment we stepped aboard this beautifully restored Dutch schooner, it felt like stepping into a floating Balinese villa—warm wood interiors, intricate carvings, and an ambiance that blended old-world charm with island elegance. What sets Adelaar apart is the intimate, small-group atmosphere. With a limited number of divers on board, every dive felt personal and uncrowded. The dive guides were top-notch—knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about marine life. Whether we were drifting along coral-covered walls or exploring muck sites brimming with critters, the crew made sure every dive was safe, smooth, and stunning. Above the water, the experience was equally stellar. Indonesian dining on board was a highlight, with each meal a thoughtfully prepared mix of local flavors and fresh ingredients. From fragrant nasi goreng breakfasts to rich, spicy rendang for dinner, the culinary experience rivaled some of the best restaurants we've tried on land. Service was seamless and sincere—the crew seemed to anticipate every need without being overbearing. Add to that the ship's gorgeous design, and you’ve got a dive cruise that feels more like a luxury retreat at sea. If you're after a boutique dive adventure that balances world-class diving with comfort, culture, and culinary delight, Adelaar is the one. It’s not just a trip—it’s a memory that lingers long after the last dive.

We had a great time, from booking up to end of the trip. Excellent services from all of the boat crew, from boat man, chef and steward. We also feel very safe during our dive as our dive guide always make sure we enjoy our dive and have a beautiful dive site

We had a great time, rooms on the boat were great, staff was terrific. Food was a little spicy for me, but definitely tolerable even with my stomach issues. Diving can't be compared to other places we have been, far too superior. Dive masters did a great job. And unlike many trips we have been on, staff was waiting at the airport and got us on the boat expediently with welcome beverages.
