Welcome to Family Dive Club's Summer Camp Registration. We know there are many summer camp options to choose from and we are thrilled you are interested in Family Dive Club's programs to enrich your child's summer experience. We are committed to providing fun, active, and engaging experiences where children gain knowledge and skills serving them long after camp is over. 

Ages 12-18 

Each weeklong fun-filled summer camp is open to students ages 12-18. Campers will have an opportunity to earn a PADI Advanced Open Water or Jr. Advanced Open Water Certification depending on age. Camp will take place at Blue Water Scuba,  Blue Water Park - Pelham, AL (bluewaterparkal.com) 

The  PADI® Advanced Course helps young divers take their diving to the next level. Under the direct supervision of PADI professionals, campers will be exposed to a variety of new underwater activities such as Advanced Navigation Techniques, Advanced Buoyancy Skills, Search and Recovery, Wreck etc. 

For every specialty dive they complete, they can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications, some of which include Underwater Photography, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air Nitrox, O2 Provider, Project Aware, Dive Against Debris, Search and Recovery, and Delayed Surface Marker Buoy. 

Campers will have the opportunity to make 10 supervised dives throughout the week.

Camp takes place Monday - Friday 9:00 to 3:00 with a brief graduation ceremony Friday at 2:30. 

 To enroll in the PADI Advanced Open Water Scuba Camp or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Scuba Camp you must be:

• 12 years or older
• Open Water Certified
• Complete the required paperwork
• Complete this registration form
• Pay deposit

Campers will have the opportunity to log at least 10 supervised dives during the week at camp while they earn their Advanced Certification. In addition, they will add new skills and greater self confidence in the water.   

A highly sought after certification for many divers is Master Scuba Diver (MSD). MSD is the highest recreational Scuba level. To qualify for MSD, A diver earns a Rescue Certification (the next level after Advanced), 50 dives, and 5 specialty certifications. With that in mind, if a camper is interested in pursuing their Master Scuba Diver rating, they can add additional specialties to the week of Advanced Camp. Specialties offered at camp include Underwater Photography, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Enriched Air Nitrox, O2 Provider, Project Aware, Dive Against Debris, Search and Recovery, and Delayed Surface Marker Buoy.
