Are you ready to celebrate the end of the school year? Do you want to connect with other people your age that need a break from life's stressors? Is Costa Rica on your bucket list? Would you prefer to join a small group instead of going alone?

Join this trip with other young adults and leave your routine and responsibilities at home! Let Breakwater Expeditions support you in experiencing an intentional adventure trip. Focus on resetting and rejuvenating your mind, body, and spirit in this beautiful jungle landscape. This international experience will allow opportunities for you to unplug, connect, learn about other cultures, experience jungle adventure, and rejuvenate everyone's inner child.

Lodging
4 nights of lodging will be provided. We will stay in Costa Rincan style hotels and lodges.
Ground Transportation
Transportation will be provided beginning at 2 p.m. on Day 1 through Day 5 transport to the airport.

Dinner Day 1 through Breakfast Day 5
Professional Guides
1 Breakwater guide will accompany the group througout the whole trip as the trip leader. Various local guides will support throughout the trip and activities.

Transfer to Turrialba Valley
2 p.m. Transfer to Ranieri's B&B in Turrialba Valley where your hosts will be waiting for you at Sitio de Mata Village with a traditional fiesta full of music and delicious food. (Meals: Dinner)

Rafting the Pacuare River
Today is a full day of adventure and fun and we will start by having breakfast and packing our bags as we will be moving places today. Our final destination of the day will be the Pacuare Outdoor Center, home to the best views on the river of what National Geographic has as one of its top 5 most scenics on the planet. We are going to raft to our Pacuare Outdoor Center Lodge.

Once we arrive, we will take a 10-minute hike over two hanging bridges to the lodge, where you will be ready to relax with the view and relax to the sound of the jungle after a full day of adventure. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Zipline, Tarzan Swing and Waterfall hike
Today is another full day of adventure! But don’t worry, you will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the lodge, but we also get in plenty of fun today.

You will be experiencing our infamous Tarzan Swing and Zipline course! The swing will have you swinging hundreds of feet over the river while staying attached in a harness. We have a lower platform for those interested in a less adventurous swing. We’ll also be riding on our zipline, to experience the Pacuare River from another level.

Then we are going to hike to a beautiful waterfall where we are going to have the chance to slide in and have some fun! This is about a one-hour hike and will have its vertical challenges hiking down into the canyon. During the night we are going to relax around a bonfire. (Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Rafting Pacuare Canyon and Transfer to San Jose
The day will start by rafting through the tropical rainforest and one of the most scenic areas of Costa Rica. We will pass by canyon walls that rise 300ft and pristine 200ft waterfalls that fall into the river. This is what we consider the most scenic area of Costa Rica and thousands of past guests share the same opinion.

Our teen joined Breakwater this summer and had a wonderful experience. Not only was he able to get away from technology in a beautiful setting but made friends and gained self-confidence. The guides were highly competent, fun and kind. His trip was highly rewarding. We hope to join future trips.
