Sierpe - Drake Bay
Embark on a journey from Sierpe to Bahía Drake aboard a speedboat that cruises through the enchanting mangrove river. Boat departures are at 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., offering a quick and exciting opportunity to admire the fascinating mangrove forest.
Upon arrival at Bahía Drake Beach, you will be dropped off directly in front of Pirate Drake Beach House or picked up at the main beach. Your stay includes a double room with breakfast.

National Park Corcovado - Sirena Station
Our expedition begins at 6:00 a.m., departing from Bahía Drake.
A one-hour speedboat ride will take us to the Sirena Ranger Station.
Once there, we’ll enjoy a relaxed 4.5-hour hike through the secondary forest, with excellent opportunities to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including different species of monkeys, peccaries, anteaters, coatis, and, with a bit of luck, even a tapir.
Around 11:30 a.m., we’ll take a break at the ranger station to enjoy lunch and rest before heading back.
We expect to return to Bahía Drake around 1:30 p.m.

Catamaran Snorkeling at Caño Island
The tour begins at 7:30 a.m. from the main beach in Bahía Drake. The catamaran ride takes approximately one hour, with the possibility of spotting whales or dolphins along the way (depending on the season).
We’ll do two 45-minute snorkeling sessions, where you can observe a variety of fish species, turtles, and, with some luck, even a shark.
During the breaks, we’ll make a short stop at Caño Island’s beach. Meanwhile, guests can relax on the catamaran’s nets, enjoy activities like paddleboarding, use the jumping platforms, or slide down the water slide.
A picnic-style buffet lunch will be served on board, and the minibar will be available for refreshments.
We’ll return to Bahía Drake around 2:00 p.m., concluding the excursion.
Departure to Sierpe
The speedboat departs from Drake Bay to Sierpe at 2:30 p.m. after the tour (with an additional connection available to Uvita).

Catamaran Sunset Tour
The tour begins at 3:30 p.m. from the main beach in Bahía Drake. We’ll drive by catamaran to San Josecito Beach, a journey of approximately 25 minutes.
There, you can enjoy a 30–45 minute snorkeling session with the guide, use the paddleboards or water slide, and take a refreshing swim while watching the sunset.
The catamaran’s minibar will be open, offering cold beers and cocktails.
We’ll return to Bahía Drake around 6:30 p.m., concluding the excursion.
The tour can be scheduled for your first day if you arrive on the midday boat, or on the second day after your main tour.

The experience was amazing. Boat arrived perfectly on time and they gave me a big help with my luggages! The trip itself is marvelous . We saw a big rainbow at sunset, a dolphin and two big tourtles! And when you arrive in uvita you are In the heart of parque Marino ballena that is enchanting. I strongly recommend this service for its efficiency, its beauty and because is a great way to reach uvita from drake bay!

This is a premium service to go directly from Drake Bay to Uvita and as such it is expensive. We paid for this service because we had time constraints. On the morning of our departure we were informed that our trip was rebooked on a different boat that took us to Sierpe and then a car met us to take us to Uvita. Everything went smoothly but we were late arriving in Uvita and although we paid for the premium service to go directly to Uvita we received a less expensive and longer trip. We were not offered any sort of refund of the difference and we could have booked this lesser service ourselves for 1/2 the price we paid for the direct boat. I suspect that when they don’t have enough passengers they change the bookings and pocket the money they save instead of refunding the difference to the passenger. I would not spend the money again to book this service knowing that you might not get what you paid for.

Hello Colin, I’m very sorry for what happened. We had just launched a new transfer service, and unfortunately you were the first and only booking for that day. On top of that, we experienced an unexpected delay with the boat in Puntarenas, which prevented us from getting it to Drake Bay on time. Despite this, we still operated the service for you: we took you by boat to Sierpe and arranged a private taxi from there to Uvita. This alternative route actually cost us more than the original direct transfer you had booked, but we wanted to make sure you reached your destination without cancelling on you. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Pirate Drake canceled our reservation but never let us know, so we had to scramble last minute to find a replacement. Now they are refusing to refund our $230, even though their boat has been out of service for quite some time. Hopefully they don’t take advantage of you…seems they are true pirates!
