      About this trip

Escape with Krystal Say, owner of SWEAT Power Yoga, and Geoff Sullivan, owner of Continuum Performance Center, to Lake Atitlan, a magical crater lake located in the heart of Guatemala. This retreat will provide you with the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of life, and explore a remote part of the world that will open your heart and your perspective to what could be.

Our trip begins with an overnight stay in the colonial city of Antigua, where the group will gather. You'll have time to explore the unique architecture, funky boutiques, and restaurants of Antigua, as well as an optional hike up to "Cerro de la Cruz", the highest point in the city. We will then make our way to Isla Verde, a lakefront eco-resort with a laid back, bohemian vibe. Once there, you will have ample opportunity to experience the Mayan culture of Lake Atitlan, connect with nature and create your own adventure.

Our days will include daily meditation and power yoga classes led by Krystal, movement and rejuvenation workshops led by Geoff, delicious locally sourced meals, two included excursions, as well as plenty of time for relaxation and reflection amongst the stunning grounds of Isla Verde, and the energetic vortex that is Lake Atitlan. Our week will conclude with a Full Moon Yoga Practice by the lake to celebrate this magical week together.

Outdoor lovers will have the opportunity to partake in many adventurous activities throughout our week including: kayaking, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, horseback riding and zip lining, to name a few. There are also local cooking and weaving classes that can be arranged upon arrival. Boat rides are readily available to visit neighboring Mayan villages where you can enjoy local foods, markets, and some of the best textile and arts shopping in Central America.

Come experience the magic of Guatemala with an amazing group of people! This trip will change your life... if you let it.

      Flight Parameters

Please make sure you adhere to the following flight parameters in order to take advantage of our included airport transfers:

You will be flying into Guatemala City airport (GUA) on Saturday, March 12th.

We will be shuttling people from the airport to our hotel in Antigua, and from there you will have the afternoon and early evening to explore the city. We will gather for dinner around 6pm, so please book a flight that arrives into GUA by 4pm at the latest if you want to join the group dinner.

Please note that one of our SolSeed representatives will be greeting you at the airport on March 12th, and will be there from roughly 11am - 4pm helping shuttle people to Antigua. If you arrive prior to or after that time frame, it's not a problem. We can help arrange a transfer for you, but please note it will run you $10 - $45. Uber is also available in Guatemala City, and is a safe and easy way to get to Antigua. If you want more time to explore Antigua, we recommend booking a flight that gets in earlier in the day, as we will be departing for Lake Atitlan early Sunday morning.

For your return flight, please book flights out of GUA that depart no earlier than 12pm on Saturday, March 19th in order to take advantage of our included transfer. If you book an earlier flight, you will be responsible for paying for an additional transfer from Lake Atitlan to the airport, which can run up to $150.

Angela and acandance are amazing! I love all of their retreats, and this was a memorable experience for me. The location was breathtaking. But the food was very limiting, the 400 stairs should’ve been added in the trip info and the scorpions in the room made it imposible to sleep in.

I had a wonderful time. The location, the Essaouira Lodge, was awesome: Beautiful bungalow, walk distance to the yoga outdoor arena, dining area, swimming pool...and quick ride to the Medina. The food was interesting and delicious...every meal a new experience! Best of all, was doing daily, breath, yoga and MELT sessions with Joyce and Rudy...and meeting a lot of really great folks and forging new friendships.
