Available Packages

Willa Cather Rooms (4 available)

These rooms have an “O, Pioneer!” vibe to them. Situated on the upper floor of the lodge house, they are woodsy, simple and seriously comfy.  2 double beds in each.  Willa would have loved the spacious bathroom.   Her family shared an outhouse on the Nebraska prairie for many years!

$575
Lady of the Lake Chambers (6 available)

Sir Walter Scott used gothic imagery and a picturesque lake setting for his beautiful poem published in 1810.  Listen to this language!  “Fair dames and crested chiefs attention bow’d; For still the burden of thy minstrelsy was Knighthood’s dauntless deed and Beauty’s matchless eye.”

Three of these rooms are in the lodge house, one is shared accommodation and the other two are single accommodation. The other three are in the Clubhouse, a separate house that features a hot tub, sauna and yoga room.  Full kitchen.  Luxury bathrooms.

$680
Eloise in the Woods Suite (1 available)

Did you know that the woman who created the Eloise books and took her charming, precocious little character to Paris and the Plaza and Moscow (and, unfortunately, never to the north woods) was a cabaret singer and movie star?  Kay Thompson was creative and dynamic but she could also be a moody “B-word.”  She and her illustrator, Hilary Knight, were close compadres through four successful books.  But midday through the fifth, “Eloise Takes a Bawth,” Thompson suddenly ended the project and never told Hilary why.  The book was released after Thompson died in 2002.

This is a Master suite in the lodge house with a queen-sized bed, a private porch overlooking the lake and a luxury bath.  Special gift upon arrival.
