Arrive at the Kotoka International Airport -Accra (no later than 4pm on Dec 27th). From here, you will resume to take our designated shuttle service to the hotel

We will get to know everyone on the trip, each others interest, and break the ice over toast and bites! It's about to be an epic week of making new friends, memories, connections with the motherland, and growing as AfroCAN professionals who travel!

First stop, a massage on the beach! After all that traveling, it's only right that we knock out all the knots and unwind!

Next, we're off to experience some more local shopping at the largest market in Accra, Makola! Here, you can enjoy a bite of local flavors from vendors from fruits to meals while bargaining like a local.
Independence Square Tour
Here you will see upfront Independence Arch, the Black Star Gate, and the Liberation Day Monument, all symbolizing Ghana's fight and struggle for independence! Our photographer will be sure to capture an iconic pic of you here!
After all the touring, we will return to the hotel so you can have your evening at leisure to relax, explore some more or go party to some afrobeats at one of the fun Detty December nightlife experiences

Visit to Elmina Castle: “Door of No Return”
Today, we’ll visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Door of No Return at Ghana. This is a narrow metal passage that leads directly to the Atlantic Ocean, representing the final departure point for millions of enslaved Africans. The castle/fortress served as a major hub of the transatlantic slave trade.
This stop may be deeply emotional. As people of Afro heritage, we hope standing in this space becomes a powerful reminder of our resilience—that we endured, overcame, and ultimately returned to our homeland.
Lunch & Reflections
We’ll pause for lunch and time for quiet reflection.
Kakum National Park
After lunch, we’ll shift the mood with an experience in Kakum National Park, widely regarded as one of the most majestic rainforests in Ghana. While there, you’ll have the chance to walk the iconic canopy walkway—a series of seven suspension bridges rising up to approximately 40 meters above the forest floor. From this vantage point, you’ll be able to take in breathtaking views of the tropical rainforest canopy.

New Year Kickoff: Names, Service & Detty December Energy
Wear white and bring your school supplies—today we’re giving back to youth and stepping into the new year with purpose.
We’re ringing in the new year with:
- Service to the community
- Your official Ghanaian name
- An epic NYE celebration during Detty December
Day Adventure (White Day!)
We’ll begin with a local village, where you’ll be hosted by the community elders for a traditional naming ceremony.
After you’re welcomed with your new name:
- walk through the village
- introduce yourselves using your Ghanaian name
- share in community and give back to the youth
Then we’ll stop for a local lunch before returning to the hotel to get glammed for NYE!

Because we’re stepping out… and we’re not coming back until 2027.

Later today, we’ll explore real estate opportunities in Ghana and learn directly from industry professionals about the steps to becoming a homeowner—if that’s something you’d like to pursue.

To wrap things up, we’ll head to our farewell dinner—a chance to unwind, share our experiences, and toast to an excellent trip that truly offered a little bit of everything.
Today is your final day in Ghana—so make the most of it before your shuttle takes you back to the airport.
Please be sure to leave yourself at least a 3-hour buffer for international flights.
