Today we will travel to Kumasi. Depending on our time of arrival into Kumasi we will either settle into lodging and enjoy a nice traditional meal or we will begin our adventurous day throughout Kumasi.

Kumasi is located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana and serves as the land of Asantemen.Enjoy a day learning of the great works of Osei Kofi Tutu I, Okofomo Anokye, and the Ashanti Empire as it will serve as an introduction to Kumasi and Ghana.Additionally, we will view the Okomfo Anokye Sword and explore Besease traditional Ashanti shrine.

Today you will travel to Accra and rest for the day until it is time to head out to one of the most anticipated Ghanaian events of the year; Afrochella

Today you will spend your day traveling to Cape Coast where we will visit Fort Amsterdam, Cape Coast & Elmina Castle and hear stories tracing the steps of African slaves last moments prior to their brutal voyage to the West. Afterwards, we will enjoy dinner over looking the ocean.

Today we will continue our voyage throughout Cape Coast and head to a canopy walkway in the middle of a forest. Brace yourself as you walk 100 feet in the air at Kakum National Park. 

Afterwards we will rest and enjoy lunch on the coast at One Africa Guest Resort.

Ghana’s version of the New Year’s Eve is celebrated at evening social gatherings, where many people dance, eat, drink alcoholic beverages, and watch or light fireworks to mark the New Year. But characteristically of Ghana there is a twist here!

Rise a bit later in the day and recover from the evening before having lunch poolside catered by a local eatery. In your first trip outside of the city you'll head to the Ghanaian Riviera "Ada" for a day of jet skis, boat rides, private islands and more. You'll return in the evening for a change and then escape into the parties of the evening.

Following breakfast, you will explore the bustling city of Accra, the capital of Ghana and its busiest market hub. This 139-year-old city has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You'll visit the W. E. B. Dubois Centre for Pan African Culture, the Independence/ Black Star Square, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and other neighborhoods including Jamestown to explore the lighthouse. After lunch you will shop for fabrics for your tailor made outfits and explore Accra Art Center where you’ll have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills to shop at Ghana’s premier destination for artisanal jewelry, clothing, and artifacts. This evening after enjoying your meal you will be introduced to Ghana's nightlife.

Travel to the W.E.B. Dubois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture to learn of the Pan African influence throughout the Diaspora. Learn the missions of great leaders such as Maya Angelou and Malcolm X, who traveled throughout Ghana to witness the works of Pan African leaders.

The second half of our day is made for relaxing and listening to music along Bojo (or Labadi) beach. End the night on the rooftop at SkyBar Lounge or Coco Lounge!
