Take on the challenge. We'll take care of the details.
Are you ready to take on one of the Costa Blanca's biggest cycling challenges? Join elitecycling for the Aitana Tour 2027 and combine a major cycling event with expert coaching, iconic mountain climbs and a fully organised four-night stay at the Albir Playa Hotel & Spa.
Taking place on Saturday 29 May 2027, the Aitana Tour offers two demanding routes through the spectacular mountains of Alicante. We'll help you prepare, arrange your accommodation and event logistics, ride alongside you on the day and celebrate your achievement together afterwards.
With Paul Mill, elitecycling's head coach, guiding the experience, this is more than simply entering a sportive. It's an opportunity to experience the Costa Blanca with an experienced cycling coach and a group of like-minded riders.
Your event. Your challenge. Your weekend, organised by elitecycling.
The Aitana Tour offers two distances, allowing you to choose the challenge that best suits your goals and preparation.
165 km | 3,350 metres of climbing
The ultimate mountain challenge for riders looking to test their endurance across a demanding route featuring four timed mountain climbs and an additional ascent. Expect long climbs, challenging gradients and some of the finest cycling scenery in the Costa Blanca.
100 km | 1,900 metres of climbing
A demanding alternative for riders who want to experience the atmosphere and mountain scenery of the Aitana Tour over a shorter distance.
Whichever route you choose, we'll help you prepare with a structured approach to the event and practical guidance on how to get the most from your ride.

We want you to arrive ready to ride, enjoy the event and return home with fantastic memories, without having to organise every detail yourself.
Arrive on the Costa Blanca and settle into the Albir Playa Hotel & Spa, our established base for cycling holidays in the region.
After checking in and getting organised, we'll head out for an easy leg-stretch ride to loosen up after travelling and introduce you to the local roads.
It's a relaxed start to the trip, giving everyone an opportunity to meet the group and get comfortable before the days ahead.
We'll take you out to experience the legendary Coll de Rates, one of the most recognised climbs in Costa Blanca cycling.
This is your opportunity to ride the climb with elitecycling, enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery and experience one of the region's iconic cycling destinations before the event.
We'll keep the ride appropriate for preparation, helping you enjoy the experience without adding unnecessary fatigue before Saturday.
We'll head out for another easy leg-stretch ride, keeping the legs moving while allowing you to conserve energy for the main event.
The emphasis is on arriving at Saturday's start line feeling prepared, fresh and confident.
Friday evening: Your Aitana Tour strategy briefing with Paul Mill
Before the big day, Paul will deliver a dedicated event briefing covering the routes, key climbs, pacing strategy and preparation.
We'll discuss how to manage your effort across the course, approach the major ascents, plan your nutrition and hydration, and prepare for the demands of your chosen distance.
With more than 20 years of coaching experience, Paul will help you understand the challenge ahead and develop a clear strategy for your ride.
You'll go into event day with a better understanding of the route and a plan for getting the most from your performance.
This is what you've come for.
We'll arrange your transport to the event start, help you get organised and ride alongside you, providing support in line with the event rules and the group's pace.
With your preparation complete and your route strategy in place, you can concentrate on the challenge and enjoy the experience.
Once the ride is complete, we'll come together for a celebratory dinner at Pasta & Pasta in Albir. It's the perfect opportunity to share the stories, celebrate your achievements and reflect on a memorable day in the mountains.
We'll arrange transport back to Alicante Airport for your return journey to the UK.
You'll be home in time to enjoy the Spring Bank Holiday Monday on 31 May before returning to work, making this a practical option for riders who want a major cycling challenge without using a full week of annual leave.
Organising an overseas sportive involves much more than entering the event. You need to arrange accommodation, understand the route, plan your preparation and organise transport around event day.
We bring these elements together into one planned cycling experience.
