I can’t say enough great things about my Wave Soul one week surf package. Their Surf Break lodge is the perfect setting with its charming rooms, sublime pools and common lounging and hammock areas and an enticing breakfast in the lovely communal dining area. Their beachside Wave Soul surf HQ worked with my specific surfing needs to break my bad habits and form new ones. My confidence and skill level both improved dramatically. My instructor, Tomas, was incredible. He had a great teaching demeanor and his coaching was spot on. He would even surf alongside me and call out pointers as I was on a wave. He’s the best. The rest of the surfing staff were always attentive and helpful reading waves with me and picking out a session strategy before entering the water. My week with the Wave Soul surf package was a sublime gift and I definitely look forward to experiencing it next trip to Cabarete.

We had such an amazing time! We were a group of three with varied levels of experience. Wave Soul instructors were matched with our abilities and provided fantastic surf lessons. I would recommend Wave Soul to any of my friends and I hope to get back there within the year myself!

Wave Soul Retreats was such a wonderful and unforgettable experience. The entire trip I felt supported; from all the thoughtful non-surfing activities to the everyday surfing classes. They thought of every detail and were also super flexible with any changes that may come up due to weather or just personal needs of the various group members. The video coaching and early morning surfing was the best! I felt so strong and proud of myself for trying something new and being in a supportive learning environment. The food was EXCELLENT! All of my eating restrictions were respected and very accommodated! The rooming accommodations were BEAUTIFUL! All of the instructors were kind and supportive. I enjoyed all our non-surfing activities and getting to really connect with new people. I could not recommend this retreat enough. I really hope to get to participate again! It feels like I've made a small new community in Encuentro and I look forward to coming back (soon)!
