Reviews

The accommodations were good. We loved the hotels and convenience to shopping and restaurants. I did not like that we had so limited time at some of the attractions (Skytree, Asakusa Temple). I did not like the Team Lab at all. I do wish that the tour guides talked about the history of the locations we drove through. We saw beautiful temples however, did not know how they got there, what they were (ie, shrine?).

• trip was unorganized and not enough time was allotted to do/see the places we went. we were rushing almost everywhere we went to try to see the stores they wanted to go to and places they wanted to eat. • as a travel agent, you should have taken the distance, amount of walking at places we went and the logistics of being in Japan into consideration when coming up with the itinerary and planning the trip. • you should have known that 1 hr 40 min was not enough time for the layover at Narita for the first group, which was like 50 people. between customs, immigration, getting our luggage & instruments, checking in the luggage & instruments, some of us having to go to the ticket counter to get our tickets to osaka, then getting to the bus to get on the plane. we ended up delaying the whole flight. • not sure why we were not told that cup noodle was cancelled, but we found out the evening before. and it wasn’t even discussed, it was simply left out of the conversation when you were telling us about the next day. we had to ask kuulei why we weren’t going. we were told it was “too far”. didn’t you google map the distance when planning the itinerary? did we even pay for the cup noodle admission? • i understand we need to be flexible with the schedule because things can come up, but the reasons for taking things off the itinerary seemed like an excuse. cancelling cup noodle because it was too far, the day before we were supposed to go is unacceptable • we were asking more than once for confirmation that you purchased tickets for disneysea, universal, cup noodle, studio ghibli museum & team labs and the response was either you didn’t get back to kuulei or no. as a travel agent, you should know that tickets to some places need to be purchased in advance, but we were a month from going on the trip and we didn’t know if we had tickets to some of these places. • we didn’t go to sensoji temple but it said on our itinerary that admission was included in the tour package? did we pay for that? because we didn’t go inside? • the fact that the schedule changes were not explained and the nonchalant attitude with little to no explanations just added to the confusion and irritation because it felt like you didn’t care that things got cancelled at the last minute. we tried to make the best of what we had and have fun, but we paid you for this mostly unorganized trip. numerous parents told me they did not want to complain to kuulei or you about this trip. to be honest, there were complaints by parents daily but they were nice to you and kuulei and didn’t say anything.

Had a great time on this trip! The events planned, the shopping, and food made the trip. Had a great experience on the plane. Traveling in a big group was stressful but if something happened then it helped that people you knew were there. Overall had an amazing trip.
