About this trip
Imagine arriving at a beautiful permaculture farm that has a stunning temple situated on the North Shore of Maui. Then 5 days of Kundalini Yoga every morning, as well as afternoon and evening workshops including chanting, dancing, cacao ceremony, singing and mantra. Could it get better? Yes! Trips out to the ocean to commune with the humpback whales, dolphins, and world class snorkeling. Ok, but what about the food? All organic vegetarian food, some of it grown on property. Simply magical. The people were wonderful, the food was nourishing and delicious, and the yoga and singing filled my soul. This is a trip I'll remember for the rest of my life. It was exactly what I needed to recenter and recharge.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt joy of attending the Maui Alter of Love Retreat. Both Lakshmi and Ananda were such gracious and wonderful facilitators that made this retreat so special for me. I experienced amazing music, playtime, beach time, community, singing, dancing, daily yoga, cacao ceremony, laughter, wisdom satsangs, whale watching, snorkling, gourmet food and so much more. It was a blissful journey I will never forget and look forward to experiencing more retreats from these beautiful beings of love and light. Gratitude to Lakshmi and Ananda.

This was the trip of a lifetime! The setting and accommodations were perfect. Having the beach right across the street, we saw a beautiful sunset each night while listening and singing along to Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda's beautiful music. I enjoyed so much learning all the breathing exercises and different types of yoga and the devotional practices. It was an atmosphere of respect and friendliness and I enjoyed conversing with all the other participants. And the food was sensational! I would highly recommend this retreat which also offered opportunities to snorkel as well.

This was my 3rd retreat with Jaya Lakshmi. She shares her many talents generously. The music, the yoga, the food, other participants, time in the ocean-could not have been better. A beautiful musical and magical spiritual journey we will remember for a lifetime. Perfect balance of kundalini, music & chants, ceremonies, great vegetarian food, new friends, and exciting adventures. During our whale excursion, we summoned these wonderful great beings with music and drumming. On our first swim, a Momma and baby whale approached us and came eye to eye with us, then offered a high 5 with its fin before cruising back into the wild deep blue from whence they came. Wahe Guru! Lakshmi and Ananda led us to this magical experience. They are great musicians, teachers, guides, and just wonderful people we feel grateful to have gotten to know and become friends with. We thoroughly enjoyed our retreat in Hawaii with Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda. So much so that we are doing it again! The intimate chanting every evening was a dream come true. The whale excursions were an amazing experience that we will never forget! Waking up with kundalini yoga and the accompanying live music was fantastic. The cacao ceremony was a deeply enriching experience. Our whole family was made to feel very welcome and we created friendships that will last a lifetime. The kirtronica on the last evening was an absolutely blast, heart opening and uplifting! Looking forward to more adventures and much love to Jaya Lakshmi and Amanda. Wahe Guru!
