An early morning drive to a serene safari game reserve. Time to view some wildlife! You'll be there by afternoon for an evening boat cruise on the River Nile to view some hippos and crocs in the water, and some elephants and other game on the shores. And then, sundowners by the world's mightiest river...

Another early morning start to catch the game as they get up for their breakfast by the watering hole. Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, warthogs, zebras, elands, hippos, you name it, you'll see it! All in the wild, in their natural element. You'll even see some predators waiting to pounce on them! - definitely some lions and if you're sharp of sight some crafty leopards...

After a forest drive, peppered with incredible monkeys, chimpanzees and stunning birdlife, you will make your way to a sanctuary that protects the world's rarest and most prized Big 5 species - the white rhino (an incredible animal whose population has been ravaged by poachers after the goldmine on the end of its nose...)

After a lot of arduous off-road driving, a more laidback day in the city to tour the curio shops, and get to experience contemporary African culture and living first-hand. In the evening, an amazing cultural African dance show is on the menu, as is a sampling of authentic African cuisine. And, afterwards, for the adventurous, a pub crawl may be in order...

The point where the world's longest river, the river whose riverbeds gave rise to the world's earliest civilizations, starts is majestic journey of almost 5,000 miles through the African continent and to the Mediterranean Sea. It is also the final resting place of the great Mahatma Gandhi. Lots of optional activities including hiking, white water rafting, zip-lining, bungee jumping, or just a sundowner by the river...
