About this trip

In 2016, our journey began with the intention of assisting travelers in uncovering the diverse history of black culture in Brazil. The mission started after a sabatic 03 months trip of the founder, Carina Santos.

Since then, we have successfully connected with over 500 travelers, with a majority being individuals of black descent. Our objective is not merely to sell travel packages, but to offer a stress-free experience and cultural immersion. There are no automated messages, and there are no long wait times for a response.

We extend a warm welcome to travelers from all corners of the globe, as we strongly believe in the importance of supporting the black travel movement and its transformative impact.

Travel isn't just a hobby, it's our way of life.

about Amazon Forest

The Amazon rainforest is one of the biggest vacation destinations in South America.

It is home to an incredible diversity of plants and animals, as well as several indigenous communities, important in building the country's identity.

Visiting the Amazon rainforest means enjoying a variety of activities, including hiking, canoeing and connecting with nature.

Here are some tips for planning your vacation in the Amazon rainforest:

* Choose the right time of year to go. The dry season (June to November) is the best time to visit, as the trails are drier and there are fewer mosquitoes.

* Pack appropriately. You will need to bring light, comfortable clothing, insect repellent, sunscreen and a hat.

Be prepared for the unexpected. The Amazon rainforest is a special place where the visit is guided by the weather conditions, and it is important to be open to possible changes to the itinerary.

Oh, my goodness, it was amazing. First, it was literally a last-minute booking. My group and I were traveling to Rio with no idea of how we were going to navigate. We received a recommendation for AfroTrip from Carina who conducted one of our excellent tours in Salvador. AfroTrip and Julio more than exceeded our expectations. It was an amazing experience and gave us the opportunity to experience the best of Rio, even during a short stay.

This trip was so special. It was my first time in Brazil and AfroTrip knocked it out the park in terms of balancing all of what we wanted to do - culture, food, adventure, relaxation! Would highly highly recommend their tailor-made itinerary experiences.
