Traveling to the Amazon is an unimaginable experience. The town is located 5:30 hour drive from Quito. The temperature ranges from the Andean cold to the sweltering heat of the jungle since this part of the country is located at 600 meters or 1969 feet above sea level. When visiting the Amazon, it is a great opportunity to take walks on the jungle trails and learn more about the endemic flora and fauna of this alluring ecosystem. Observe the daily life of the indigenous people who live in the towns near the rainforest.
Depart Quito towards Loreto. After 5:00 hours of travel, we stop at a viewpoint to enjoy the amazon basin panorama. Lunch. Arrive to Waskila Yumbo. Visit to the botanical garden to learn about medicinal plants. Later, we will have the chance to have a cultural night with typical kichwa music, dancing, and a cleansing ritual with the shaman of the community. Dinner and overnight homestay.
