Immerse yourself in the magic of the Amazon with a special half-day experience that combines nature, wildlife observation, and contemplation. We'll navigate the Madre de Dios River while exploring the rainforest landscapes and searching for iconic species like capybaras, as well as a variety of Amazonian birds. As the afternoon draws to a close, we'll enjoy one of the most breathtaking natural spectacles of the jungle: an Amazonian sunset reflected on the river's waters. An ideal experience for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and those who wish to enjoy the Amazon in a peaceful and memorable way.
15:00 PM We'll begin our adventure with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or meeting point in Puerto Maldonado. We'll head to the city's port, where we'll begin our journey along the Madre de Dios River.
During the boat trip, we'll explore the riverbanks in search of different animal species. With a bit of luck, we might spot herons, kingfishers, cormorants, and other Amazonian birds.
Our bilingual naturalist guide will help us identify the species and provide information about their behavior, characteristics, and role within the Amazonian ecosystem.
As evening begins to fall, we will pause at a strategic point on the river to contemplate the Amazonian sunset.
The golden, orange, and reddish hues of the sky will be reflected on the waters of the Madre de Dios River, creating a perfect setting for photography and contemplation.
This moment will allow us to enjoy the tranquility of the rainforest as the landscape transforms with the arrival of twilight.
During the return trip, as night falls, we will have the opportunity to observe some crepuscular or nocturnal species, such as caimans and certain birds that become active at the end of the day.
Approximately 7:00 PM
We will arrive back in Puerto Maldonado and transfer to our accommodation, concluding this experience of nature, wildlife, and sunset in the Amazon.
