About your trip

Join Maria Santoferraro, E-RYT 500 of the Daily Downward Dog for a week of seaside yoga, meditation, sunshine, scrumptious food, and sightseeing on the gorgeous Amalfi Coast of Italy. Your home base for this Italian yoga retreat is Villa Rosy. This private villa is in a splendid location of the Sorrento peninsula, in the area of Nerano and overlooking the sea. Its popular coastline is one of the largest in the area. This fabulous bay is famous for the beauty and of its seabed and underwater caves.

Located halfway between Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, it is the ideal place for sea, but also mountain lovers, as it offers pleasant hiking and trekking excursions nearby and we will be taking a few hikes as part of the retreat. Villa Rosy is located 7-10 minutes walking distance from Marina del Cantone where there is a nice beach and restaurants.

The villa is an ideal starting point for day trips on the sea, and to Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Pompeii.

The villa is set in a panoramic position overlooking the sea and is equipped with large outdoor terraces for al fresco dining, a private pool, and whirlpool. Near the swimming pool, there is an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and BBQ.

Inside the villa is equipped with all comforts and facilities: AC, WiFi, TV, and professional kitchen.

There are a total of ten rooms available for the retreat. Each room has a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, desk, lamps, and a private bathroom complete with a large walk-in shower, toilet, bidet, and hairdryer.

Day trip to Positano for sight-seeing OR to Hike the Path of the Gods

This day is yogi’s choice – transportation will be provided to Bomerano for those who wish to do the Hike of the Gods which ends in Positano, or you can decide to get dropped off in Positano for sight-seeing, shopping, and lunch.

Perhaps the most popular hike of the Amalfi Coast, the Path of the Gods, a walk that recalls the incredible landscapes of Greek mythology. The route starts at Bomerano (Agerola) and continues along the beautiful path surrounded by typical Mediterranean nature. We will be led by a local licensed guide, who will show you the relationship between plants and people (how local people used and still use plants for medications and food), telling stories and folk legends of the place. You will stop along the way to admire and photograph the beautiful landscapes. A picnic lunch will be provided.

Tour of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius

Transportation to Pompeii for a tour with a private guide (Pompeii entrance fee is included). Lunch with a wine tasting, and then on to a visit to Vesuvius. We will hike to the top to look down into the crater and the spectacular surrounding views are breathtaking.
