About this trip
- The ancient Olympic Games were the most important sports event in the Greek world. According to the mythology, it was Hercules who established the games in order to celebrate the success of his 12 labors. The sports were organized in Olympia which was the most important temple in the honor of the king of the gods, Zeus.
- View where the complete ancient temples and famous statues would have been standing as well as watch the ancient athletes preparing for the different sporting events.
- Admire one of the seven wonders of the world, the 13 m tall gold and ivory statue of Zeus. Constructed in the 5th century with marble and limestone. According to history, the giant statue of Zeus was inside the temple.
- Walk to the stadium area and watch the athletes compete in a foot race around the track. The running track is more than 200 meters long and almost 30 to 34 meters wide.
- Then, visit the temple of Hera, one of the oldest temples in Greece. It was built in the 7th century BC and it follows the Dorian rhythm.
- Head to the Museum of Olympia, an important scientific institution that holds antiquities from different periods.

Meeting Instructions
Upon debarkation, please proceed through the cruise terminal and exit through the security area. Your tour departs from just outside the port, where there is a post office and a public bathroom (WC); this is approximately 100 meters from the cruise pier.
Please meet your local tour guide/representative who will be waiting outside the security area, in front of the post office and WC, holding a signboard that says "JAE OLYMPIC."
PLEASE NOTE: Entrance fees are optional (not included). The approximate cost in Olympia is 12 EUR.

Restrictions
Guests must be able to get in and out of transportation. This tour is not recommended for those guests with any mobility issues as you will be walking over uneven surfaces and varied ground conditions. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
